Absolutely misguided

Because I'm a student among other things, sometimes I get involved with projects that take up too much time for me to always be... well, around. What this means is that hiatuses are kind of my thing. Since I've started in the biz my presence has been in fluid.

I was wondering how gents felt about this? Does this make me look shady or suspicious?

P.S.- By the very nature of this post I don't know if it belongs on the "newbie" board or not. But this is where I felt safest from potentially rude/combative comments lol

Gaps in your review record could be due to many things, we know this.  It doesn't make you look, as you say, shady or suspicious, but it usually tells us to do some extra research on you.  The best way for you to combat this is to keep posting regularly on your regional board.  If you are not really actively providing at the time, that will keep your name in lights so to speak, and let guys know that you are still in the game.  If someone contacts you for a date, and you can't accommodate them, be honest and let them know that it is just not a good time right now.

However, for a newb, it could be. I've seen escorts with over a year gap in her reviews. What's the saying "life sometimes gets in the way of the hobby"  Sometimes I don't even asked what caused the gap in reviews. Just depends. I would not be defensive, you have a life, if a hobbyist can't get over that  fact, then let him to just move on. Eventually you'll finda hobbyist who will see you.  Good luck

Post on your web site that this is not your full time job--no need to go into anyspecifics about student, other job, etc.--and therefore your availability is sometimes limited.

Many of the ladie I see fall into a similar category and several have mentioned it has helped with just this issue.

I agree with others -- that it is not a problem.  But I also think that is worth your time, assuming that you are proud of your reviews, to establish your own website with links to your TER reviews.  Call attention to your website every once in a while and use it to discuss your situation and philisophy -- that you are a sometimes provider.  What could be better than getting to know a young MILF who enjoys her profession but recognizes obligations of taking care of children -- like having to take care of essentials like soccer games, school activities, etc. -- or college student who puts education first but still enjoys providing joy to others?

Do NOT be open. All you have to say is that escorting is part time for you. Mentioning anything personal is not necessary. The personal info should be left to sites like match.com.  If you want to open up to a hobbyist after you've seen him a few times, and have built up a relationship with some trust, that's a different story.

I ageee.  I am a part time provider.  I do catch myself continually feeling the need to explain myself, when I'm not available.   I need to learn to say, "I'm sorry, I am unavailable for the next week".

Always un-necessarily explaining myself,
Laina

Personal info in Ads -- No.
Personal info on your own website -- Yes, appropriate, maybe even essential!

If your are part time with very limited availability just say that.  If I see that and then contact you, I won't be surprised if I don't get a reply.  It's none of my business why you are not available, I don't care.  However if you just seem to disappear and reappear I would be concerned.
