Dude, you either have the flu or you don't.  Would you want her to see you if she had the flu?

If you are sick, call her & reschedule.  If she gets sick, she's out of business for the duration.  You can survive a few days without her.

The aren't supposed to be any "stupid questions" on the newbie board, but this one certainly pushes the envelope.

Well, actually, don't take the chances of passing on anything. There's more than just you to think about. Call her, and tell her your concerns, and let her know you'd like to re-schedule when you're feeling better. She'll understand.

dates get cancelled; even moreso than work related issues.  I have cancelled 3 dates in almost 8 years because of bad colds and 2 dates because of work schedule changes.  In all cases, the lady got at least 24 hours notice. Sometimes you just have to cancel.

As a provider, I would much rather a client cancel than to make me sick. I would never see a client when I am suffering from cold or flu symptoms. If you make a provider sick, she will have to cancel any appointments she has scheduled, not only will she be upset with you but so will all the clients she has to cancel.

Cancel man you can get the provider sick and then she could give a BBBJ and the bacteria could pass to a guy.You know and  give them  NGU !

...Who didn't tell me that he had been ill the week before until the end of our appointment.

I was touring in a new city, fell ill within hours of his appointment and spent 6.5 days in a $200-per-night hotel and had to cancel my entire week.

His lack of consideration cost me well over $5k in appointments not including my travel costs.

No, you should not still see the provider.

That's right...the lady could infect her other clients and that's bad for business, not to mention the bad reviews she could get. Don't worry about her...it's the other men you need to worry about...keeping them fit and healthy so they can hobby on!

So if you fell ill within hours it wasn't his fault.

I once saw a repeat client during the day that I had previously only seen in the evenings.   At the end of the appointment.he mentioned he liked being able to see me during the day, but this was an exception as he had a doctors appointmebt earlier as he had strep.  He said he was going to fill his prescription on the way home.

You can't imagine how angry I was.  Strep is very contagious.  Sure enough 2 days later I had it. I also cancelled appointments for the next day and then while I was ill as it would not be fair to risk exposing anyone else.

If you are ill, do not visit a provider.  Would you appreciate a provider seeing you if she was ill???  I sincerely doubt it.

With some infections/infected people showing symptoms within a day so I'm thinking that my estimation of several hours isn't too off.

At any rate he TOLD me that he had been sick with the flu for several days prior to seeing me and lo, I became ill almost immediately after seeing him.  When I told him what I was experiencing in the days afterwords he said that my symptoms were identical to what he'd had before.

Don't nitpick my message or experience to death and miss the point.
