I want to become a provider, and I see people encouraging newbies to join an agency all the time. So: how do I find one? I've sent a few pics in to a few in my area, and haven't gotten a response. I'm starting to worry that maybe I'm not attractive enough to do this, but maybe it's just that these places aren't hiring.

Is the adult job section of CL any good? Should I reconsider and maybe start as an Indy? Or do you think the cold shoulder really is an indication that I'm not cut out for it?

Search through the reviews in your area and that should bring you to the websites of your local agencies. Read all the reviews to assertain who are the good ones versus the not so good ones. If I knew where you were I could help you.

yourself. What # on a 1-10 do you REALLY think you are? What do guys think of your appearance/body type? I will say that there are all types of different looking ladies in the business. (Some are so utterly unattractive, I don't know how they get anyone to even buy them a beer)! Are you willing to perform a myriad of sex acts with a myriad of different guys of various ages, races, body types, religions, sizes (both body and cock)? Are you willing to put up with men that may not be "fresh as a daisy"?  Now, assuming you're reasonably attractive, and a "willing Beaver", (pun intended), HOW did you approach the agencies that you contacted?  It is quite possible that your approach sent up warning flags to the agencies that you were LE (a cop). If that was the case, there is no way (even if you looked like Pam Anderson), that they would get in touch with you.  If you are intent on getting into the business, and after repeated attempts  agencies in your area ignore you, you can try the Indy route, but going indy as a newbie is a lot more daunting than you probably imagine. If you are near the NY/NJ/Conn area and want someone to give you an honest assessment of your "provider potential", I offer my services free of charge to give you a three hour test drive. (I will gladly put you in 4 wheel drive, slam on the brakes, "burn rubber(s)" , go through your gear box, and look under your hood.) I'm being realistic with a newbie considering "providerhood" (did I coin a phrase?), as a career choice. The sad fact remains that some guys show up reeking, and filthy. This is why so many provider ads talk about "Turn ons--clean men"  and "Turn offs--bad hygiene". One would think that cleanliness would be a GIVEN, but hey, this is the real world.

Try calling on the phone. They may put you through some logistical stuff to get a feel that you are not LE, but ultimately an interview will be arranged.
For me stylishness, fitness and excellent hygiene, body shape, sexuality and dress are more important than facial looks. I have been with average looking women that had my hot button fixations and had an excellent time. It helps if you are drop dead gorgeous, if you also have the characteristics mentioned above.
Take the advice of WT. Get a VIP membership here (twenty dollars per month) and do research on agency ladies, you can select agency as one of the search choices.  Look for agencies that have consistent, high performing ladies, those are the best ones to work for because you will get business, be treated fairly and should get higher caliber customers.
