Googling phone numbers

A hobbyist just posted a review for a "provider" that advertises in my area on CL and BP and a few other minor sites. She had no reviews, but he was intrigued and decided to TOFTT and got burned.

I was shocked a veteran of TER would fall for her ad. Firstly, she was TGTBT, which should raise huge red flags. But mainly, a simple Google search of her phone number revealed ads by several different women with different pictures(of course all TGTBT) all using the EXACT same phone number.(It wasn't an agency).

I don't care if a provider has 10 positive reviews, I would search the phone number. It's easy, and may reveal some useful tidbits of info.

It's not TFTBT, but TGTBT.

It stands for: Too good to be true

My philosophy is if she looks TGTBT, she almost surely is. It keeps me out of trouble. If the picture looks like she can be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader or a Playboy Playmate, she wouldn't be selling pops on BP or CL for $200. Such a woman, if she was really an escort, would cost thousands of dollars and cater to very wealthy men exclusively. Just common sense.

to check the images on tineye.com to see how many hits there are.

Many hits from different websites suggest stolen pics.

can reveal a lot.  Researching from ad sites takes more time than starting from TER & checking the reviewed ladies ads & sites.

This is also why I never post my number with an ad and will only give it out after screening a gentleman and setting up a legit deal.  I don't do enough volume to afford a seperate phone, so if anyone ever googled my cell phone number, it better not show up in association with erotic services.

I just want to share my experience as a Provider abt to benefits of using Google to search phone numbers..........

I constantly kept getting calls from a ph# w/a 252 area code, but the caller would not leave a message.  When the # was Googled, how abt that fucker came back as being used in a drug bust!!!  I mean I could read the report online & everything!!! So needless to say I never answered my phone @ all when that # shows up.

Funny thing though, I will still get a call from that # every now & again, but I never answer.  At some points I've even thought to myself, maybe this person got a hobby ph & doesn't know their current number is bad.  But soon this thinking was dismissed b/c if they are looking online for providers then they should know abt Google & I'm sure anyone with a mobile ph has at one point or another Googled their own ph# so I believe it was safe for me to say that it was LE!
