I wasn't in NYC....I was near the pentagon.
I will be at several memorial services today
But need no reminders of that Tuesday morning
The sights...sounds...smells
Are with me forever

Weather in NYC identical to that of 11 years ago, same Tuesday, clear, crisp summer breeze, sunny.

I wasn't in NYC either that day, but over a dozen I know/knew were at the WTC that day.  Four of them now are names on the memorial.  From where I was in NJ, I saw Manhattan from a scenic overlook about 15 miles away an hour after the buildings fell.  I hope I never have to see anything like that again....looked like the City got nuked.    The sounds...even from 10 miles, you could hear the non-stop din of the sirens in the distance for the rest of the day.  It was cool to watch and hear a pair of F-16's fly overhead, though...
