from time to time they are too  lazy to  see  our  name and  look us  up. It  is  our  job  to  make  life  better  for  them. So just  stop  you  bitchin under  an  alias  and  post  your  damm  link  already.

as a provider we are supposed to link to our reviews or to our website, everytime we post.  Not everyone has access to PMs and here on TER we have no way of knowing who does and who doesn't.

I agree that posting under another lady or in a post about someone else is tactless and tasteless, but their actions speak for themselves and I doubt that doing business that way attracts any good attention.

ISOs, or opinions, or other types of threads, that is fine, as long as the person actually has something to add to the conversation (like me.. right here! lol).  I don't visit this NYC board often, so I link to my website because no one knows me here, on the DC board however, it is unecessary, since I am very opinionated, and the posters are already familliar with my banter.

In the end, just let it go and worry about your own actions... and it seems to me, your actions so far, have earned you praise... keep it up :)

In fact, i used to write in my guidelines reminder threads that not adding your link to each post is JUST PLAIN DUMB!!!

Even if you reply to another provider's thread, I think you should add your link. Once again, it's a matter of common sense (thinking of you Emma ;) and common courtesy. If you reply to another provider's ad, you don't talk about your schedule plans, ask people to contact or do anything else to try to potentially steal an appointment. That's just not cool. :(

sometimes self-promotion can be good.   After all,  a search can only be so effective.  I have found some wonderful providers who have announced their arrival, or I found their post interesting, and as a result, wanted to pounce on them.  They have all been very good, but I have found very few this way.  But any source or lead to a good experience is helpful.

However,  I agree, some of the shameless, endless promotion tends to be a turnoff.  After so many times of hearing how great so and so was, or what a great time the such and such was, often  by the same people, or how someone would like to do someone else, repeatedly, well, I'm happy for you and you can just keep to your own cliche then, because it doesn't seem very inclusive to me.

When I'm promoting myself, posting my trips, changing my schedule or simply updating my availability ALL under my original thread, I do post the link for my site and add some pictures or my naughty coupons here and there.
But...when I'm posting my views on different issues or under any other fellow provider original thread, unless is an ISO kind of post, I think is very tasteless to post pictures & link to my site.
I think the gentlemen who reads TER, posters and lurkers, do KNOW who we are and HOW to find us IF they want to contact us for an appointment.
We don't need to remind them in every single post we make of where is our site...just that blue TER link to the reviews does the job, takes a simple click right?
I think posting over and over just to "be in the first page" of the board to get exposure wears out real quick, gets you the "old news" status fast in the eyes of the men who truly want to spend time with you.
My 25 cents :)

As I have already stated I enjoy when providers participate in our conversations. We only have a few regulars on the NY board -Miki the Milf, NetMichelle, and Anneke. Mix in a little bit of Sexy Toni lately. TER has no rules that does not allows a provider to promote herself. By posting a provider can get client's to get a feeling for their personality without ever  meeting them. As a client I can't tell you how many times I find a girl that I want to see and find she has great reviews, but I don't know how she is personality-wise. I can always back-channel my buddies and ask them, but that can become a pain in the a$$. I would much rather know a provider's personality from the boards. I think it makes the chemistry thing a little easier. Not only do you know something about her, but she also knows something about you. Most of the time when I see escorts I know nothing about them and they no even less about me. Why do you think NetMichelle and Miki get so many 10's in performance from guys who read and post on TER? The answer is simple and it is that they both know something about each other.

As far as the blow-by-blow accounts of meetings that are being posted, they can always be skipped. If memory serves me when both Miki and Michelle posted about their time at the swing club they made it very clear in the thread title that the post was about their adventures. If someone didn't want to read it, they could just skip it. I know I skip just as many threads as I read. If I know I have no interest is something or someone I just skip the thread/post. Other members would rather read the thread and then complain about. I guess looking at the glass as half empty fits here.

In closing, I wish more providers were like Miki and Michelle when it comes to posting on the boards. I love to hear a provider's insight to the hobby. It makes the boards more interesting. For example, take a look at the Boston Boards. I only read that board because of Jill at Room Service. She runs a Boston based agency and constantly posts on the boards. I can say that I have learned alot about the business and what agency owners have to deal with when it comes to clients from her. She is very open on the board. Just by her posts you can tell she is an honest person. I have never met her, but I will say that when I am in Boston she will be the first agency that I call. To sum it up she will get my business because I enjoy reading her posts.

They really should not be placing links behind every message.
Not Fair.

I don't see any other providers doing that, they wouldn't stoop that low.

What is the difference between the little blue box at the top of a provider's post(a link to her TER reviews) or putting a link to her website in a post? They both do the same thing. I think the best thing that TER ever did was putting the blue box at the top of a provider's post. I can't tell you how many times I have liked a provider's post, but she didn't add her link and I had no idea how to contact her. No hobbyist wants to be the moron that say "Does anyone know how to contact her?"...lol! :) The blue box makes things much easier.

Men can't want what we don't know about! :)

The more we know....The more we want to know.

When used correctly the boards can be used as a good way for providers to tease clients and get their interest. Once you have our interest their is a very good chance that you will also have our money. :)

I like to encourage providers to post. Personally, I want to know more about the person than what she looks like. I want to know what makes her tick. I know a lot of providers but I respond more to the person rather than to her appearance. When board readers get to know a provider's personality, they may want to find out more about her and ultimately meet her. Looking at it this way, the provider's link attached to her post serves the same purpose as the signature file that so many people attach to their emails.

The bottom line is I don't want providers who choose to add their link to each post to be intimidated from doing so.

As to adding a picture to each post, I agree with you. If a provider responds to a post, "Where can I get the best Manhattan Clam Chowda" (that stuff sucks btw ;) I welcome her opinion but I don't need to see her picture. ;)

your welcome to the boards. Not only this one, but any of the boards that allows you to get your business going without any significant monetary contribuition from the providers side.
Agressive marketing is good in the begining but, after a while, it imprints a mark on a provider that the majority of the good paying clients will try to stay away.
Our clientele is not made only of exlurkers or energizers bunnies of this world...mine is not. Most clients are smart and knows better to stay away from the circus....they read the boards to gather basic information of who/where/when.
Unfortunately the TER system, which allows all the non sense infantile mumbo jumbo going around,  buries the weekly postings done by the providers who follows and respect the rules. They are the ones getting the low end of the rope because of the others who likes to be the primadonnas wants the spotlight just to themselves and they don't have a bit of respect to the others.
Believe me, many of the girls do not post because they think is useless.....their tour information goes to the back pages in question of few hours. I know of few girls who told me they don't post on the NYC board anymore because nobody will read them.
One thing is to post in a way to TEASE the male readers to the point of getting them interested in you, another is to openly describe sexual acts in details that  should be reserved to the review part of the boards. To me, that's crude and a classless act of self promotion.
Of course the peanut gallery will clap, cheer & shill to these kind of posts but they represent just a very small fraction of the all real hobbiests out there, who truly are the main source of income to the providers.

My post is not to offend anyone in particular, I'm not pointing my finger in any direction, each on their own. I'm just expressing my opinion.

If you had the style, skills and personality of the providers your bashing you would be flaunting it too....Unfortunately the attention they know how to get eludes you,if you think their self promotion is unattractive you should see how ugly your pissing and moaning is...if we want to be whined at we'll stay home with our significant others

I have NO problem getting dates...of course Im easy I am a HOOKER dammit!you pay me and its go time, I screen, I pick and choose but in the final analysis a provider playing hard to get is a bit of an oxymoron. If my style of shameless self promotion irks you let me remind you of one thing, I'm in business....it seems to me that if you look at any sucessful marketing campaign, a modicum of media saturation is at the base of all promotion...I run my business like a business and my sex like sex and I have a damn good time in the process, you and the other providers on this thread have your own style and i have mine,it works for me and my business is sucessful...my sex life is smokin and i am having a blast. When all is said and done I'm a happy camper,if you need some tips on how to grow a sucessful business I'd be glad to help you out but a small hint....bitching and whining wont help you....guys cum to us to get away from that...oops almost forgot my link..

Every provider who posts on this board self-promotes herself. Why bother posting a weekly ad if not to attract attention to you and let the guys know you/or your girls are available. This is self-promotion. I think instead of all the compaining maybe more providers should try and participate on the board. I think the old cliche applies here. "If you can't beat them, join them". The one thing that I have learned in the hobby is that only the good providers get slammed. Nobody would take cheap shots at Miki and Michelle if they were poor or average providers. The fact that they get good reviews makes them a candidate to be slammed.

Another note, why bother taking an ad out on EROS? Isn't that once again a provider/agency promoting themselves? Why give backgrounds of yourselves on your websites? This is all self-promotion. If you want to claim that you don't need to self-promote yourself, then please delete the "About me" parts of your websites. Just have a website with your picture and your touring dates. If you have a problem with some self-promotion then you should have a problem with all self-promotion.

Irritability is sooo sexy!  If its just PMS I gotta strike when its hot!

This complaint is a joke, right?  If it's a real complaint, I don't know how you get through the day, much less a session with a client.

"Leave some mystery, isn't it right when you hear that MEN WANT WHAT THEY CAN'T GET .

If it is easy they don't want it!"

Perhaps in some aspects of life you are correct. However I don't feel that the "hobby" (damn, I hate that word) is one of them. In terms of this arena the "want what I can't get" refers only to the fact that I haven't won the lottery, so I can't enjoy all the ladies I'd like to meet.

Other then that, make it easy on me. Help me decide. Help me choose you, and hopefully once I have, you will choose me also. A well thought out post and a link to a nicely put together website (one that shows me more than just your tits) are what draw me to you. I want to get a feel for you who are. Will we mesh? Will we BOTH enjoy our time together? Will the evening be relaxing or are we from two different planets sexually? The physical attributes really have little to do with it compared to the mental picture. To get that mental picture out, you need to let me know who you are and where to find you.

The variety here is so much that, to be brutally honest, I don't need to hem and haw to find out who a particular girl might be, I'll just move on to a girl that makes it easy for me to figure out who she is and where to find her

Although I will agree with an earlier poster about the picture thing. Can't remember just who in the thread said it. If it was you, please forgive the fact that to much pot in high school has ruined my short term memory. If a girl puts a pic in her ad that's great, other then that it can get old at times, depending on the topic of the thread and the message she posted.

Also, where links in a post are concerned. After the first few times, I really don't even know they're there anymore. I know that Michelle puts her link in all her posts (Sorry to use you as an example Nettie, you came to mind first because you posted to this thread and I'm familiar with your style). After the first week or so of readling her posts I never saw the link there. It was just in the background. After a bit you don't even notice it if you're familiar with it. But for someone new, it can make the difference between an email or not. Between a regular or not.
