eave it up to them but there is nothing wrong with asking. I am sure no one will be offended.

I went indy about a month ago and was wondering about common etiquette with regards to getting reviews.

I'm not a high volume provider and see only a select number of clients a week - most of them stringently screened regulars. Due to the fact that most of the men I see tend to become repeat clients and have been very positive, appreciative, and complimentary at the end of our appointments, I assume that they are satisfied with our sessions. However, I am having trouble getting reviewed. I think this is largely due to the fact that most of my clients are not active on TER messageboards and perhaps, are not the type to spend time on the Internet writing reviews. However, I think that some of them might be open to helping me out if needed.

Is it good form to ask a client for a review?

My clients usually give me feedback in person, which helps me know that I'm doing things right and keeping them happy, but having reviews would definitely allow me to get more established. Any advice would be appreciated!

There can be many reasons for a guy not wanting to write a review.

I would not bring it up before nor during the date, because that puts a certain pressure on the client.  Even if it's at the end of the date, the guy might feel pressured to say yes, when he is uncomfortable doing so.

After the date, there is nothing wrong with sending them an email saying something like, "If you would like to write a review, I would appreciate it, but if you prefer not, then that's fine too."

Since you are now posting ads here, you will be more likely to get reviewers as clients so the problem might solve itself.

That was very helpful, thank you. I will keep that in mind.

I started posting ads here recently but find that most of my clients come from my Slixa profile. I think perhaps active users on TER are uncomfortable contacting someone who does not have TER reviews, which is part of the reason why I was hoping to change that.
