I am so fucking  tired of reading the tired ass excuse that in general most people on the board are good guys and gals in person and that they just have a different board persona because they are hiding behind a computer screen and alias. Thats just bullshit.

The  mark of someone who is  truly good, is that they are good people even when no one is watching. In other words,  those that are assholes when hiding behind a screen are just assholes in real life but better at covering it up when in person.

So really, just own up to who you are and stop using that bullshit excuse that its just an alter personality coming out because you are behind a computer screen and own who you really are.... and that is the person who comes out when you are hiding behind a computer screen.....

And I do stand by it.  On other non-fuck boards, I have met people in person, and everyone really IS mich nicer in person.

That said, that was a controlled environment for a finite number of hours, so maybe that's just a bad proxy of how they are. in real life.

Good points, but I am not making this comment as a hard and fast rule.  It's just been my observation.
