Again, n00b here. Reading some news and got a bit paranoid ahead of my big trip to the us/ny

What steps do you normally take to veryify an ad isn't fake? is googling their number and checking that they have a few reviews on here really enough

they are probably the 2 best ways, also- look do the pics look real or tgtbt? does she have a website? does she post on this or other boards? also, are the reviews by known reviewers- take for example a provider with 2 reviews- and both reviewers only have 1 review- take review with a grain of salt

Research, Research, Research....

Use all the resources available here on TER as much as possible. Read reviews, see how active (if at all) the lady is on the boards, consult with other hobbyist about the lady you're interested in.

Check out their P411 profile

Check out how they present themselves in terms of a website.

Maybe you want to Google their name or their phone number to see if either is real.

Along with the other guys' responses, go to their sites and look at the pictures, google them and tineye reverse image search to see if that's actually her or someone else's.

A lot of "providers" will use other girls pictures for whatever reason.

Also, carefully look through the sites, check spelling, or if there's enough writing explaining what she's about.

Thanks guys and girls for the tips.

So here is an example. If she checks out with all your research points....

The last thing to do is have some communication with her. If you feel at all uncomfortable than pass, but if you get a good vibe from communicating with her, then you have to decide if you want to take the plunge. Ultimately, u have to make the final decision, the community here can't make the decision for you.

Talk to her

You'll just have to pick up the phone and find out for yourself if you like her. Use your head, not your dick, to judge whether she is being straight with you or not. If she's going to your hotel, you can ask her to meet you in the bar downstairs before heading up. If she's not what you expected, send her away with cab fare, and she won't know what room you're in.

More concerned about LE

In this instance, i'm happy enough with all the pics i've seen and videos. and I feel for the same reason, it'd be unlkely that she'd be working with LE but who knows, I guess there's always a risk.

Most reverse stings happen on the street -- in the city, anyway... upstate and LI are a different story. If she will do an outcall to your hotel, there is very little risk of LE. No way would a cop risk going into an outcall situation for one lousy misdemeanor.
