I've been asked to do an interview with Fox TV about how the RNC is affecting the erotic business in New York.
I've gotten mixed feedback. I understand most strip clubs are booked for special parties. I'm curiuos about how the escort agencies are faring? If agencies/independents are booked for the week? Or if, like many New Yorkers, anyone who can is leaving town? Even if you aren't booked, have you gotten more traffic to your website or more phone inquiries during this typically slow summer month?
Unless you go on Fox News and tell how you saw Rupert Murdoch and his Chinese third-wife once do a three-way--NO INTERVIEW. Draw attention to the community? Force the NYPD to crack down on Satan-inspired deviltry in New York, denounced by Jerry Falwell? Are you insane?
...best not to talk to the press on this. Remember, I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky. Likewise, you did not offer BBBJ and FS for $$$.
OK all – No I'm not insane and yes I'm still doing the interview.
I'm doing it anonymously. The person who contaced me to do the interview is a client so I seriously doubt I'll be sandbagged. Rest assured, that if the interview goes in a direction that wasn't agreed to prior to being on air or if they try to make me say something that isn't true, I will close the interview down.
Further, I'm not out to expose anyone or any aspect of our community. From past experience and from the stat research I conducted I've come to the conclusion that many ladies anticipated a slow down in business during the convention and decided like most New Yorkers to leave the city. Anyone who understands this business and the level of security both on the streets and in the lobbies we enter has to know next week is an unsafe time to work. In my opinion the only adult business that can plan to make bank are the strip clubs. Why? Patrons don't need a room, strip clubs aren't illegal and its the boys club thing to do when away from home.
