that's not the problem

I've had psychologist and cop friends alike tell me that rape is not about sex...if the allegations are true, it appears that Mr. Strauss-Kahn needs to abuse and overpower women. I suppose that a healthier mind could seek out a role-playing scene to get that out of his system or whatever, but these guys live in a world of privilege and power...she's "just" a maid. Sick stuff.

Aren’t there any providers in New York?

The head of the International Monetary Fund, and strong candidate for French President in 2012, just through away his life because he could not find a provider in New York.  See link http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703421204576324400801330790.html

And I'm glad they arrested him but what if it is a lie from the maid I thought when listening to the news.  Who leaves their wallet?  I never had a gentleman who would forget his wallet. I feel that we are being scammed in the story and that there is more to it...........AGAIN.

probably but I have had people leave their wallets and Rolex's...I usually catch it before they get too far...stuff happens. But octavia, there is always more to every story LOL

Yes, it's odd he left his wallet but he knew he was in trouble and probably panicked.  After all, he headed right for JFK and was already on the plane when they nabbed him.  As for the maid lying, it did occur to me as well.  But then I thought, why would a maid at a fairly upscale hotel jeopardize her job by making a spurious charge?  Yes, it can happen.  But it's unlikely.  And since then she's pressed her case.  Sounds like Mr. IMP was a bad, bad boy, to say the least.

Whoa!  Really?  That puts an interesting spin on it.  Now I see what happened.  He and his wife were playing a little game where she dresses up a like a maid and he has his way with her.  He gets undressed in the john but wifey decides to go shopping instead.  He emerges nude and has left his glasses in the potty!  So he thinks the maid is his wife!  He jumps her!
Sounds like a good defense to me!

The Washington Post quotes IMF official that this guy was not on official business. Staying in a $3000 a night room was he there to entertain himself.....suspect he must have seen some providers, who may come forward to support the maid...

...a midtown hotel to actually *on a plane* at JFK in 3 1/2 hours? I guess he took a helicopter?
