As a hobbyist, I am always polite and gracious to providers and historically would therefore never meet a provider while under the influence of anything more than a glass of wine. I would consider it rude. Now that marijuana is legal in 29 states, it would seem like that might be fair game at some point.  I’ve also read a ton about MDMA/Molly and 2c-b.  The former opens emotions and increases intimacy, while the latter is as close to an aphrodisiac as anything humanity has discovered.  Are any of these fair game for either use or discussion with providers, and under what circumstances?  I am of course not advocating that anyone use illegal drugs, but I’m curious about the community’s thoughts.

I'd not do so without asking permission from a provider first, so I suppose the next question is what's the right way to raise this with a provider tactfully.  I get the sense that very few providers would take insult at me asking if they're 420 friendly, but it strikes me as tactless to ask directly about anything else.

I am a big proponent of dismantling shame around what people do for pleasure.  I believe that if you approach a provider with clear communication that you are open to certain activities but would never engage in any activity or consumption without their express consent then you aren't really doing anything wrong.  If you contact a provider for the first time with request to pnp (party and play) and they are offended or do not respond, it may simply be a concern for their own personal safety and not a judgment on what you do for fun or experimentation.  I always say it never hurts to ask, but do so with tact and try not to be too terribly explicit.  If she doesn't go for it, respect her decision.

I'd have had the same reaction you did.  But I'd regard it as rude if I arrived at a provider's with reefer reek all over me.

I agree with Penelope..... anyone here should be in the judgement free mode when it comes to how people derive their pleasure.  As long as its consensual and no one else is harmed.   Just like you may ask a provider if they are ok with this or that fetish or activity.... so it goes with substance use.     Some participate, some are violently opposed to any use before or during session, some are fine with it but dont participate.   It's all good.   Given sex for money is already illegal and has a LE presence its hard to argue the "but its illegal angle".   But it does some additional elements of risk for providers both from a LE and from a liability pov.   So it should be handled carefully but clearly.  Just showing up and partying like a rock star with no permission is clearly not acceptable.    Or asking a provider to provide.. well... you know.  Some will once they know you well but that is different.   But asking a provider you dont know, in advance, how they feel about this or that is not only appropriate but good manners.      I enjoy dabbling myself and enjoy doing so with providers who also enjoy.   But subject is somehow taboo.... it shouldnt be.
