Now that I have your attention, answer me one question. At what age did you start hobbying? And, because of the stigma  associated with it, did you feel any shame about it?

Started at 33. Didn't feel good about myself at first. Now I've met a few great ladies that I enjoy looking forward to seeing. A few just call to ask advise and just chat, which is nice too.

I started at 21, as a fat guy I knew I would not get to sleep  with  really hot woman based on my looks, but as a student of economic. I knew all of lifes pleasure come at a cost. Sex is no different than a great meal at a good restaraunt or having  a bottle of fine bottle of wine. You get what you pay for.I had no shame and found out quickly variety is the spice of life. and if you get caught you dont lose half of your cash in divorce court ~~~

I just turned 33, and am in the middle of starting the hobby.  Never had FS, but have had r&t and also bbbj.

I feel no shame because of the stigma.  But, I also don't publicize my hobbying.  But that's because my wife would leave me.  Not because of any stigma.  

Started at 50 plus.  Took awhile to settle it out in my mind, but once again I have met some geat ladies along the way.  I'm glad that I did not miss out on the experiences.

Started recently at 34 (don't feel any shame - unless my wife finds out.  Then, shame would be my least concern).  Anyway, I've had very attractive girlfriends (my wife is also attractive) but not as hot as some of the providers available.  So, I'm just a horny guy that loves hard bodies (the providers I see would otherwise be out of my league).

If I knew about this hobby when I was single I would probably have partaken every once in a while.  But I was a poor student then (Still a student but not as poor. I actually get paid for going to school now - though my grant doesn't specifically provide for providers).  

I'm somewhat new to the hobby, been in less than two years. While in relationships I was able to do a lot of erotic exploration, therefore I'm very comfortable with my body. I don't discuss my horizontal life with very many people cause there is a stigma associated with the oldest profession. But oddly enough it comes from some of the guys I see as clients. It's the assumption that to be an escort you have to be low class, unintelligent, from a broken home, or will do anything for a buck.

17 in the Navy, for about 2 years, you know, any port in the storm. I started agin at 30, had some hellacious hooker parties at my place in New Haven, and went for about 5 yrs. started again about 2-3 years ago.

Shame? Nope, never. Guilt? Nope, never.

24, overseas in US Army in Far East Asia, as infantry officer, where had some of the wildest nights at hooches in the' ville, where you could get three women for the change in your pocket on the day before regular payday.  Shame---no way no how.

Hiatus for damn near 25 years. Long time married, wife still attractive, very trim, but unadventuresome.  Pushing the envelope, sexual technique-wise.  Other than you, Alexia, none were intellectually interesting.  No shame, slight pride that at my age, economic status and education, I would do this---far more adventuresome than betting in a foursome on a golf course.

Interesting thought, alexia. It's occurred to me that most hobbiests do not discuss their exploits with friends or collegues, either.  

In my sales life, I've worked with a few clients that demanded I buy them services, and one rare acquaintance that raved about a provider in Vegas whenever Vegas came up. But I've been hobbying for a number of years and not a single friend knows. Even the hard core strip club pals....

Maybe this is why TER works so well, its a community that can't or won't happen in real life

My first experience in this field.... I was 19. I felt great afterwards, as I believe many 19 year olds would. (that was not too many years ago either)

I was 24, it was one of those places with a "Check it out, one flight up!" barker out front.  What was nice, was that it was a strip show-cum-cathouse.  You saw girls strip, they sat on the side, you asked the one you like to your table, bought her a drink, then got laid in a back room with a mattress on the floor for an extra $25.  This was pre-HIV, so it was BBFS all the way.  No DFK or DATY, and no moaning, since the walls were cheap paneling.  You just got serviced.

In the Army, Vietnam era, on R&R in Tokyo.  My first was obviously an Asian lady.  Continued 'til I got home.  Got married, Stopped to be faithhful to my wife.  Started again after our divorce.  Re-married and stopped.  Wife #2 passed away 6 years ago, and here I am.  Can't deal with dating any more, so my GFE experiences suffice.

Like most I donot advertise my hobby. The main reason I am a hobbist is  I am very easily sexually board. I like to try new people all the time. My home life is fine, and I would not change that for the world.
In a lot of ways providers do us the favor of being up front enough to say, you spend you get. Where as if you try and have an affair, you never know what you going to get, and what the consequence may be.
I think back to when I was single, I would drop money on a date with no promise of anything more than a handshake. Being in the hobby lets you know exactly what you are going to get.

She was the first woman with whom I was intimate after my wife passed away.  I had never used an escort's services before, and I really had no idea how to go about making the arrangements.  I found Mary's agency in the local yellow pages.  I'd tried several others first.  They had more eye-catching ads, but were disconnected.  When I explained to the lady on the other end of the line what my special physical situation is, and what I thought I wanted in a session, she said Mary was the one.

I still see Mary.  She, her daughter (she's nine), and I have gone through some of the caves in PA, we're gone skydiving (her daughter watched), and hot-air ballooning.  In fact, Mary, her daughter, and I have even spent weekends with my son and his fiancé.

As to the stigma:  

I wouldn't want people at my office to know.  Nor, would my mother-in-law and the rest of my wife's family understand.  My Dad thinks it's great.

But, I think my aversion to the knowledge getting out is not so much shame over doing something wrong, but over being percieved as HAVING to pay for sex.  I don't have to.  There are a number of ladies in my life right now that regularly enjoy time with me.
But, even with several girls, there are dry periods (gee, girls, wouldn't THAT be great!).  Plus, a number of girls I used to see on business, now see me socially.  Who, knows? That might happen again.

As far as my office is concerned.  Yes, it's all about the perceived impropriety.

Probably around 24.  I always had an awful time attracting women.  No problem working with them, but socially...bad news.

I just started hobby three months ago after 25 year hiatus.
Way back then, mostly BJ's afer a night out with the guys.
