I’m planning a dinner date night in New York City with a special client and would love some recommendations. I’m looking for places with great food and a romantic or fun atmosphere—anything from cozy hidden gems to upscale spots with amazing views. What restaurants have made for your best dates in NYC, and what made them special?
The most memorable restaurant I've ever attended with a client in NYC is NOMO Kitchen in Soho. The service was very intuitive, knew when we needed something, but left us alone when we didn't. Food was excellent, great wine. The atmosphere is obviously very striking with all the vines and trestles and fairy lights. But it's tucked away at the bottom of Crosby St, so there's not a lot of foot traffic. It's connected to a hotel which we didn't make use of, just cuz I live nearby. But for a decadent little get away, it's my favorite memory eating food with a client.
So many to choose from. Here are some faves of mine —
Robert — beautiful views of Central Park, good food. Get a table by the window Daniel — fine dining, romantic, great room Le Coucou. French. Very romantic. Excellent food One if By Land. — everybody’s favorite romantic spot. Have a great time!
