A month ago, Geisha moved into Julie's old 44th Street incall apartment. It's by no means glamorous, but it's perfectly OK. Had DFK, DATY, CG, mish, one pop, for $$$ with Candy last week, which is steep, as you can get two pops at Julies for $$. However, seventhson's warnings about this place are completely uncalled for. It is nothing out of the ordinary as NYC AMPs go. The one big advantage of Geisha and New World is they offer 24/7 incall -- which you can't get at any American incall establishment I know about.

I've never been to Julie's, but I find it exceedingly hard to believe that Julie's ever operated out of this dreary hole.

Nobody here can say he has had 100% GFE experiences with every provider, every time. Clearly, you got Geisha on a bad day. However, I think your denunciations are unfair to Geisha. You yourself admit that they have a regular bathroom off the kitchen. Also, please name for me any NY AMP that charges a door fee only, with no tip asked. In my experience, door fee plus tip is NY AMP standard operating procedure. Likewise, AMP security checks are relatively unusual.

For TER members to actually review incall AMP providers is unusual, as there is a lot of turnover. Geisha is the only NY incall AMP which even takes the time to put the girls on its website.

the crux of the issue is BEHAVIOR. I have no problem with door fees or tips. I always tip unless the service is wretched. This isn't what motivated me to leave or what motivates me to make these posts. Can you comprehend this important distinction ?
What disturbed me was BEHAVIOR. When people BEHAVE in ways that suggest their brains aren't working like normal brains there is reason for concern.
You keep trying to reframe this discussion to make it sound like it is about 1. your superior knowledge about how things work, 2. the condition of their bathrooms ( they weren't going to let me use the good one until they could see that the nasty one wasn't usable) or 3. the issue of tips.
The frame of this discussion is none of the above marginal issues. The frame of this discussion is that the provider in question behaved in bizarre and potentially dangerous ways. As I said, I have deliberately felt the not so juicy details out of this as perhaps inappropriate.
Let me encapsulate so you may have a better understanding. Part of the way into the session the provider's state of mind appeared significantly abnormal, and I felt that it was in my best interest to depart without further involvement.
This same provider made strenuous physical efforts to prevent me from leaving the room, including grabbing my shirt and refusing to return it until I persisted and she yielded. She was babbling no,no,no,no,no,no and kept shoving me back on the bed. She fell onto the floor and thrashed around. I had serious concerns that she might be on the threshold of a seizure. Do you think anyone there would have called 911 if she did seize ?

Suppose you are in a place of this nature, not specifically Geisha, but more or less the same situation.
You go to the room, there's only the two of you, and assume that she snaps into a full blown psychotic episode or a major (i.e. life threatening) seizure.
Everybody else panics and runs for it. You're the last man standing. You could either throw her on the bed and save your own skin by leaving too, OR you could call e.m.s., prop the doors open and flee and hope noone can recall seeing you, OR you can try and restrain her and prevent her from inflicting a serious head injury upon herself until e.m.s. gets there, at which point you are not an innocent bystander, you sir, are "involved".
What then is the ethical decision ? How would you respond under these circumstances ?
O.K. intrepid explorers, add this kink. Asssume she seizes, you have no idea w.t.f. to do, so you dress as fast as you can and run out front and try to explain. What if they refuse to do anything or believe if they keep her in the room for a while "she'll get over it", when her condition appears to be worsening. You insist they call e.m.s. and they refuse. What is your ethical response ?
i leave, but i use my cell or the phone booth outside. but i don't think the others would scatter, and if they say she'll be alright, i wash my hands and split. i don't know emergency procedures anyway, so for me to do ANYTHING(other than call 911) would be stupid.

actually P,,,i'm a bit wary about the pics at the geisha website and have mentioned as much. i've known this place, or at least the owners and gals it has gone through, for about 7 years now. and there have been very few gals as depicted on their site. and there's definitely no one there now, who are that pretty, unless incall an outcall have different gals to draw from.

well, there's one bathroom outside in the hallway behind a steel wire security door on the stairwell and one inside. The one outside was dark and stunk, the one inside was cleanish but sopping wet from all the water that came out of the shower.

the spas are very permanent and "legit", so the places are very nice,clean, and usually have prettier, younger hostesses.
places like geisha are illegit, advertize, and are always being shut down by the police. they usually move 2-4 times a year. there's no point for them to waste time and money in fixing up their place, when they could very well be shut down the next week. these asain fs's were great 10-15 years ago when the police left them alone.
i've seen worse than geisha, and i've seen better. but anyone used to asian fs would have no problem here.

actually, my recreational interests are widely varied. West Garden is one style of thing, there are many others. I guess that the Geisha experience is what some are looking for. The perfect storm must have hit on my visit. Other visitors may have a good time there, but I don't believe that I would at any point in the future. There are a few middle of the road f/s places that charge the same hourly rate as Geisha, clean dependable safe, good choice of women, some DFK, plenty of DATY,
BBBJ not too often. One even has a full time maid in a maid's uniform who takes pride in keeping her domain spotlessly clean.

Oh Bertie, you're 100% correct about the AMPs of 10-15 years ago(though I think that it's actually more like 15-20 yrs). Those places were great. There was this place called Spa Oriental in 1987 on West 29th Street. I get misty thinking about it. No rush, great ladies, free drink, sauna and f/s all for about $100-$150. I was in college then and could still afford to be a regular. In fact I even ended up dating my regular girl for a few months without any $$ after the place closed.
These days, I pretty much do the HJ-only style AMP (a friend of mine calls them "Handjob Huts")and Asian outcall at my apartment for the f/s itch. The last time I went to an incall AMP was in 1998 or '99. Very lame in comparison to the f/s AMPs of the late '80's. But even as lame as the f/s AMP's became, I never saw them as ghetto-style crack houses.
Sadly, these days, it's very hard to find totally reliable and satisfying Asian providers for the long term. I'm still searching (wish I had the time and $$ to do it every day). The best that I found recently was a girl named Yuri but she appears to have retired in Oct. '02. So the search continues.
