The way I see it you are on the right track, but it takes time to get a foot hold into the community. You're doing the right thing by participating in dialog on the NYC TER board. After you get a sense of things around here, you could also approach the NJ area like Secaucus and you could consider areas of Long Island, but you'll probably want to wait until you're well acclimated to Manhattan first. You should absolutely have direct dialog with the other ladies, they know what's what. And the suggestions about which outlets to use to get the word out that you're on the scene, is very relevant. Just know that it takes some time for people to start recognizing you on the NY radar. But as I mentioned to you before, you are headed in the right direction. And if you have some down time.... Get out and enjoy the day. I'm looking out my window right now, I see blue skies and the sun is shining. Enjoy our wonderful city!

nycad Now that I have had a day to settle into my place in New York, (although I still suffering from jet lag, bizarrely given my previous jaunts around the world) I have some questions for the guys and girls to help my 'research'.
The first, I have paid a lot of money, I won't say to which site, but a big name site for an advertisement. Given the results so far, I am questioning the reliabilty of that site, and I was informed yesterday that guys view it as being unreliable, e.g lots of fake girls and that this site with its interaction is much better. I am sure you know which site I mean, any thoughts on that? Have I made a wrong move there?
Also, maybe there are things that I don't understand about the New York scene and I would like to get up to speed as quickly as possible. When I have been to places for the first time before, on tours or I just happen to be in the area for my professional career, I always had requests before arriving. When I went on tour and paid for adverts, there were so many requests it drove me nuts. I am curious about why New York is different?

OK in response, I understand that I have only have one review on here, but the problem is I am not based in the US, but Europe. Other sites such as Captain69 work better there, I have more recent reviews on there. So far I have worked in Japan, Russia, Italy, Austria, Ethiopia etc for my other career, each major city has its own routes when I decide to moonlight!
It is very helpful to be on here, but it not the site that people know and use in other parts of the world. One only has to look at the news reports as an example of this centric approach, when I lived in Japan, I could never catch any news about the UK, it was all Korea.
Great ideas, I need to figure out how to link to my pictures, it is a direct upload. I hope to put a smile on the guy's faces.

I will also change my timing structure, rather than my donations, I think it is better to offer slightly longer, I am all about getting to know people.
I thought it would be good to respond to these points rather than vent hot air, action is important too

Ok, I managed to log into my old photobucket account and added a photo to my old advert. Then support had some words of wisdom for me, right click for the JPG. But still, I can't use my site photos on this board because they are all water marked to stop others copying.
Ok, one mystery solved.
A lady on here pointed out that my number was still on UK. I updated and submitted my US number on Tuesday. What I see when I edit is not the same as the advert, but I submitted all the changes. They tried to argue that there were no changes made after the 23rd, yet other changes except for the number had been completed. I don't trust the advertisers there now, and instead of saying they didn't know why it happeend and offer some solution, they stuck to the same line.
