I was wondering where people park when they come to visit a provider in midtown? My Hotel doesn't even have parking for me....lol. Thanks!

I usually take the train in from LI, or if I do decide to drive, I park in one of the larger lots downtown and then take a cab or subway up to Midtown. Traffic and parking rates up there are just insane.
This is NYC - no one drives in Manhattan if we don't have to.
When traveling into the city from NJ, during the day I would simply park in the parking garage on 42nd St. btw. 9th and 10th Ave., right outside the Lincoln Tunnel, then take a taxi or walk. At night, depending on location, I usually will try to find on street parking. This can usually be found, but frequently requires patience and time to search for a spot. Parking gargaes are available throughout midtown, but will cost an extra $20 -$30, so I try to avoid using them whenever possible...
