I’ve come across at least two provider ads that asks the potential client to give his TER ID as one of the screening criteria. The others being their P411 profile or LinkedIn profile. At least one ad required all three.

What does the community at-large this about this latest requirement?

Many providers take TER whitelist as verification.  Otherwise, checking reviews is prudent.

I dont see the harm in providing TER account details. There is nothing risky there unless you are a prolific negative reviewer. Then she may think twice about it. Lol.

I'm off put by the idea of giving someone a LinkedIn account, I see that as akin to providing a photo of my license. Clients don't get to have a copy of the ladies real ID or anything that would identify her personal information. I get why its asked for but the client is taking a risk and the practice opens up the hobby to scam artists. Similar to deposits. I get why ladies ask but there is a huge and real downside to the greater community and scam artists are huge right now.

I’m really wary of this practice. I visited one of the top ranked providers in NYC recently and her first question when I reached out - do you have TER. I answered no, because my review strategy is a little different: I think there are enough glowing review on here so I generally only review when something is not as generally reported. Anyway, this provider was top 5 in nyc and was just awful. Significantly older than in the photos and pretty much a dead fish. I can only surmise that she actively manages her TER which is why that was the first question when I reached out. I’ve also seen another who did the same and also very highly ranked in NYC and she offered to reduce the rate significantly for a review prior to meeting.

There is a lot of review manipulation and fake reviews. I've tried to report where I can, TER only sometimes does something about it. If you have had such bad experiences, why haven't you written a review about the girls? Or called them out here? We can only guess at the girls in question and now you have cast suspicion at least 4 other girls when they might be innocent.

If a girl only has 10/10 reviews, then I think they are likely to be fake or the provider has paid for them somehow either through discounts or unsafe services.

If you have written evidence of a provider offering discounts for reviews, I think you can report her profile and include screenshot. Then TER will kick the girl off the platform for review manipulation.

I don’t have a driver’s license and wouldn’t use any other form of photo Id. I also don’t need a LinkedIn profile because I’m not a businessman or someone that needs to network. But I created one just because some providers made it a screening  requirement. I not a true hobbyist so I don’t have a lot of reviews to read, and only have two references.

I always do a simple search to see if the person writes reviews, or has a TER handle. I do my own vetting. I have never accepted P411 because they are not screening for our safety. LinkedIn has never been used by me. We are all so very different & that’s okay. 👍🏽

I find this to be a trap of sorts. Maybe only once I was able to get into an agency easily with TER but otherwise, I find that most providers hate TER members. Even when they have the TER stamp on their website, they still hate us. From twitter to reddit, providers make it known they hate us. If they know you are a TER reviewer, they will make it known on their blacklist sites like Mr. Number.
