Today is my most cherished holiday.  While Christmas was magical during my childhood, I find now that it is just plain taxing but Thanksgiving has a more deep meaning and one that I can fully appreciate.  What could be better but an entire day to gather our precious ones near and tally all the blessings we have received?  With that thought in mind, I would like to share things for which I am very grateful:

When I entered this business I had no idea what it would hold for me.  This strange, secretive subculture was a terrifying mystery but has turned out to be one of the most influential and beneficial experiences of my life to date.  There have, and will be, determents to be sure but on balance this endeavor has paid dividends far beyond monetary gain.  My sense of self and my place is the world has become obvious to me, and my current profession is directly responsible for exposing these truths to me.  Through the many wonderful people I have met, I have found myself and my path.  Although I know my time to transition onto the next phase of my life is growing near, I pause today to reflect on what this “hobby” has done for me and I am grateful.  Although many women buckle under the pressures this business imposes, for me, it has illuminated my value as a woman and as a person.

I am thankful that I was able parlay this experience into a new life and fresh start.  New York was just a place on television, like the Land of Oz….mythical and out of reach.  I still remember the first time I visited and the zing of excitement that tingled my neck as I saw the lights of Manhattan for the first time.  I felt purpose and I felt home, in a very peculiar but definite way.  An entire City of success oriented people that didn’t care that I was tall, or curvy or different.  In fact, the City embraced me as being special and let me understand that it’s not only “okay” to be different but it’s actually a positive thing.  Had I not made my first trip to New York in January of 2007, I am not sure what my quality of life would be today but I am certain it would not be as rewarding, productive or enjoyable.  Only by being absent from my former life have I come to realize just how much it suppressed my potential.  For all of the negative impacts providing can have, I feel like a Phoenix that has risen from the ashes and emerged a new, forged individual poised to not just survive life, but to wring every last drop of success and enjoyment that is possible from it and this business has not only clued me in to that notion but made it a reality.

Thank you to the gentlemen that aided me in improving my life, I am very appreciative of your support.

With that in mind, I am offering a special this weekend (Saturday and Sunday only)- $75 off the session of your choice.  While I will honor this discount for one hour sessions I encourage you to take advantage of a longer session time.  For me, a session is always more enjoyable when we can share a glass of wine and get to know one another before retiring to more private pleasures.  I hope you agree and take advantage of this offer.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Melanie

You're a beautiful soul, Melanie.  You're brazen and earnest, all at once.  I am so *thanksful* that I met you.

I think (and hope) you will get everything you want in life.

What a beautifully expressed and poignant hearfelt sentiment! It is very gratifying to hear that your journey into and through the provider experience has been so personally forfilling!

I'm an old dog, and I have been fortunate enough to have been with many women in my life. That being said, I think that providers are the most real people I have ever known. No agendas, no bullshit, no expectations, except for possible mutual sexual gratification? I have learned that there is no such thing as free sex. The only difference between perceived free sex,(Civilian, or Matrimony), and sex for monetary consideration, is that "free sex" is a lot more expensive in the long run! Both emotionally and finacially.

My only regret, is that I didn't start hobbying earlier in life. I could have saved myself a lot of money and heartache. As the German people say, " Ve git too shoon old, und too late schmart!" Lol.

I'm off to Mom and Dads for some Turkey!  Thanks for a great post. Hope you have a great day thick red!
