Can anyone recommend a dark discreet bar with maybe sofas where myself and a ladie friend can sit in the corner have a drink, flirt and make out?  Preferably either columbus circle or union square area.  But other areas are fine as well.

Old Town Bar. The photo makes it look way brighter than it is. Believe me it is dark in there. Unless you are at the bar it is too dark to even read a book or the paper. Sit in one of those booths and make out....

A really cool place. I was there recently and its perfect for getting a little naughty and very touchy.  And the staff seem to understand. Fun times to be had.

There is Death and Company, 6th Street between 1st and A, which is very dark, and amazing cocktails.  Also PDT on St. Marks between 1st and A; a secret entrance through Criff Dogs where you enter a phone booth, pick up the phone to see if your table is ready, and if so the secret door opens.
