...I read it and it's the usual over-simplification based on enough supposed interviews to give it a mantle of respectability. All I can say is the maps seem to me to be crap. I was a very active hobbyist in Manhattan in 1991 and the map from that year completely ignores the fact the the East Side (i.e. Second and Third Aves) between 34th and 50th was a virtual non-stop mall of cathouses. If the article gets this so wrong,what else did it screw up? No doubt the hobby has changed a lot due to the Internet but that's not exactly a revelation.
Interesting read. But, like others who've posted here, I wonder about some of his "facts," not the least of which is his prediction that Facebook will be the advertising medium of choice for providers. I also want to know at which bars in the Bronx he hangs out.
Streets, drugs, etc. I am for one, a legit, GFE, non abused, non addicted, not pimped out, very happy, very lucky and blessed and the people who know me on this site know that's the truth. If any person thinks that they can write an article about this life style On observation only, is ridiculous. And you all know what I mean!
When I read this article, i had the reaction that it contains a few nuggets amidst a great deal of nonsense. Some ladies whom I count among my friends thought the parts about high-end ladies are especially suspect. For instance, they are beaten on average 2x per year. And, as you note, the obvious inaccuracies are numerous. IMHO.
