For sure this one performance is unbelivable if you have the stamina to perform even if she is on the $$$ end. I may have had luck with her since she's not easy to schedule (only email)

It depends a lot on your particular circumstance. I know hobbyists who, for personal and professional reasons, can't necessarily plan ahead. They have to book at the last minute. For them, indies are often difficult to book, so they rely on higher-end agencies. There are better run agencies that provide excellent service. And, if you experience any problems, they work with you to resolve any issues. So, for them, the agency option is a no-brainer.

For the most part, I prefer well-reviewed indies. But there are certain reliable agencies through which I've had great experiences. And, if I can't plan ahead, it's great to be able to pick up the phone and make an appointment with very short notice.
