I have experienced the following scenario, with minor variations, with increasing frequency. I have no doubt that other hobbyists have be having similar experiences.

I scheduled an appointment with Nicole (TER 280814). When I arrived (on time) at the designated corner on the Upper East Side, I called Nicole to let her know I was there and to get her address. She asked me to wait 5 to 10 more minutes. She didn't say why and I didn't ask, but I agreed anyway. 10 minutes later, I called again. This time, however, the call went to voicemail. After waiting in vain another 5 minutes for Nicole to call me back, I left. Nearly a half hour later, Nicole finally deigned to return my call. By that time, of course, I had already made other arrangements and didn't bother to answer.

Abusive and inconsiderate behavior like this should not be tolerated and ought to be exposed. Providers who treat their clients in such a shabby manner simply do not deserve our business.

A bit over the top don't you think. Don't you know by now bad publicity is good publicity ? I'd give her a chance to provide an explanation and offer to make it up before you slam her. Who knows what happened  ?

Sweetie I agree its not preferable but sometimes people make mistakes, cell phone reception fails, any number of things could cause the delay. If the provider tried to call you likely she was calling to apologize and make it up to you.  No need to take this kind of inconvenience personally.  As others have told you if she is a reputable provider she probably deserves a chance to explain and apologize luv. just my thoughts . The first three times this kind of thing happened – and it's virtually the same routine each time – I let it go. Stuff happens. When stuff happened a fourth time, and then a fifth time, all within the span of a few months, I began to suspect that it was more than a coincidence and that it wasn't some  conspiracy aimed at me. It was a practice, in the same way that hiding behind the door until you are inside, or leaving the room for a few minutes while you get comfortable, is a practice.  

So I no longer care if they claim to have an excuse, because I kept hearing the same excuse: my phone ran out of power and I didn't notice until just now.  

I have a theory about this practice: these providers are double booking their appointments. They do this as a hedge – in case one client is a no show, they can still see the other. On those occassions when both clients show up, they just string the second one along until they finish with the first. Furthermore, I suspect that, in many cases, it's not the provider, but the person who answers the phone pretending to be the provider, who is to blame.

Incidentally, doctors also double book appointments, but at least they have waiting rooms where you can read crappy magazines to your heart's content. Waiting on a street corner, particularly when it's very cold or very hot, is not nearly so much fun.

Sometimes, things DO happen:  

Unexpected calls from Mom; a visit from the building Super; Rob using the bathroom and stinking up the place so bad that it needs time to air out... LOL

Give someone at LEAST ONE CHANCE to explain, THEN file such a grievance...

She has 1 review and it didn't do her any favors, she ask you to wait an extra 10 minutes and then never bothered to call you back or answer your calls. If something did come up she should have let you know that during the first phone call. IMO her actions were  inexcusable,and unprofessional So lets be honest and call a spade a spade.

Finally, someone gets it.

It is a mistake to take these things personally, which it sounds like you are doing.  Feeling "abused" because your providers are running a few minutes late is what suggests you are taking something personally that isn't personal at all.    

You made a good point about having to wait at doctor's offices.  And we have to wait at restaurants, for classes, for job interviews...we have to wait.  It's not a perfect world.  None of us like it, but it often happens.  Many times I have a client who is 10 or 15 minutes late.  Sometimes I run a few minutes late.  It has NEVER been because of double booking or had something to do with someone other than me answering the phone.

We can't control the actions of other people.  All we can do is control our own actions and try to be patient, forgiving, and understanding of other people who are imperfect, just like we are

The hobbyist should consider himself lucky. I always assume that if a provider is more than 15 minutes late and doesn't call to explain beforehand, or just doesn't open the door at the appointed time, or doesn't answer a telephone call/txt at the appointed time, then she is too disorganized to wash her private parts between clients.

This is one provider who does not excuse this type of behavior. Again, if she had a last minute emergency, she should have had the common courtesy to tell him so during the first phone call. And she failed to do so because it is so clear that she double booked and handled the entire situation wrong.  

Instead of her being honest and letting him know she was running behind (which sometimes happends),she chose to string him along for 10-15 minutes then intentionally avoided his calls.  

This gentlemen has every right to be upset, he had been patient long enough and he deserved to be treated with alot more respect then what she gave him.

But things do happen. I don't think 30 min of something should have happened, that is a bit extreme, and she could have picked up and just said one moment. I think communication is key in this case.

Well for me it's quite the opposite.  I am a free-spirited type and it takes a LOT of effort for me to be on time at all.  I don't have an office job for a reason!!  If I'm a few minutes late, it's because I wash very thoroughly, and immediately before your arrival, so that I am fresh as can be when you walk in the door and I start ravaging you!!  

I probably need a waterproof suction-cup clock for inside the hotel showers.  Lol.  So easy to lose track of time in there.  

But my idea of a few minutes late is 5-10, not more than that.  I hope that's a respectful amount of time, as that's my goal... if I run a little late, keep it minimal and respectful.  And of course I always try to respond to a text or call to mention that I need a few extra minutes... but then I'm committed to being ready in those few extra minutes.

Delays happen.  They are annoying, I agree.  But don't forget that some ladies just have a more flexible sense of time.  Lots of people in this world do who are freelancers, artists, etc.  She may be really amazing in every other way besides being 15-30 minutes late.  But at the end of the day, if that bothers you so SO much, then she is not the provider for you.  But to assume that all providers who are late don't wash... IDK, that's a bit extreme, don't you think??

Fifteen minutes late in NYC is quite acceptable. More than 15 minutes late, you call to say you will be late. And no, for someone that you've never met before, sloppiness in one important area may indicate sloppiness in another area. Most providers are meticulous in personal hygiene and meticulous with their time. If they are "loosey-goosey" with one, I wouldn't bet they are especially meticulous with the other. I just made an appointment with someone listed on TER, called four times the day before to confirm, as instructed. No answer. No meeting. I've written off that woman and am thankful I did not see her and never will.

I think the hobbyist should consider himself lucky at all that providers are still willing to book something with him. It seems like his personal issues are getting in the way of his view about providers. Consider the source when someone is always having a bad time on their dates.

If you choose to book someone you think is high volume then you should deal with the possibility that she may only have a few minutes to "wash her vagina" before she sees you. Be grateful someone so sought over agreed to see you.
