Not able to enjoy the city in this weather. I guess us southern gals aren't cut out for this winter weather. I will be in my room all day. This blows. Literally

I know how you feel!

I've been living in NYC since '96 and I still can't get used to the crazy weather.

And traffic right now on the FDR is almost at a standstill.

I had to cancel my plans to meet a lovely lady for drinks tonight...  Let's hope tomorrow doesn't blow too....

It is part of what makes NY , well NY .
I would not want it any other way,
I love having 4 seasons of weather  
I actually am disappointed if we don't get snow in the winter

Do not get me wrong I love to visit lets say FL , Vegas , California . But they could never be home

Earlier today I was working at the Javits Center and the busses were not running across town to get back to the east side, I sloshed my way (in running shoes) to the Herald Square train stop to get back home. Uuugh! I should have paid closer attention to the news (very early) this morning, As I thought the snowstorm was coming on Wednesday. To quote Homer Simpson... "Doh!"

The more the better. My dog loves it more than me.

Thankful I can have the day off from my day job and snuggle up on my couch with a good book! And then later... keeping things heated up in a different way *wink*

This year is unusually harsh, but it's always cold here in Jan., and snow storms are always possible.  Goes with the territory.  Sorry if it's affecting your visit...I would just go about my business normally as best you can.
