I have noticed in NYC that providers(usually indies?) state that they want to meet you at a local bar on the corner first "to see if we click, etc/" on their websites. Actually, it sounds like a nice idea to meet 'socially' first and usually the providers who want this dress in that 'most presentable even to your mother' kind of way.
Does anyone have experience with providers like this here in NYC? Good? Bad? Is it part of the time paid?
The advantage is that if you don't like what you see,or if the attitude of the provder doesn't agree with you, you can say so and part ways before you've spent a good deal of money. Of course this can go both ways. If she doesn't like you, she can walk as well. But that's better than a dissapointing session.
I recently had an experience where we went for a quick breakfast before "dessert" to determine if we'd get along, and it worked out great. Usually the time spent over a drink is off the books.
That's a great idea but over my experience I have not found the providers were up for it. Independents may be more open to this but most agency girls are not going to waste the time on a "what if" when they've got guys with cash in hand on a waiting list.
I've had far too many times when the girl shows up and she's a tramp, dog, overweight, etc... and when I cancel she still demands the entire fee. I don't mind paying a small fee for her time but in now way am I going to pay $300 for nothing.
BTW - If I could find providers who would meet me in a public place first with no chance of either of us getting hurt or ripped off, I'd be very glad to pay the bar tab.
