Thanks for the great idea's

Can anyone recommend a hotel that is discreet but busy and does not need a key to get in the elevator . Under $300 a night

and a good area for biz

I have never been there

Thanks

I believe you'll have enough to choose from.

Good luck.

At certain points in the year the prices do go lower . The reason for that is that at those times the city is slow .
Many of our friends who are a usually are around are in the hamptons or NJ shore or further away  on vacation. I would Not  book july  to save 100 or so dollars . Seriously it would not be a good idea for you unless you are coming here for vacation .
I find personally that when the prices are down it is because the hotels know they have a huge availability and little chance for selling out .
July is probably the most vacationed month . if you are worried about a few hundred in either direction as far as your room you might not be that happy here right this second .
I can not publically recommend a place , no . I can suggest you go online and search one of the many sites that show multiple hotels prices and comparison shop . Probably you want Midtown  . You can find out info about the hotels and pics as well as reviews and make a decision .You can call the hotels you liked and talk to them personally even if there is something specific you would like to know like do they have keycards for the elevators?   Then decide either to book threw the multi hotel site or directly with the hotel . I hope this was helpful .
I  have a good time  :) Kendall Lynn

I don't necessarily agree with you, but I do absolutely respect your opinion. Yes, a lot of what you said is true about the city slowing down, but I think there's still plenty of people around. People do go out to the Hamptons (Yuck, in my opinion the Hamptons is soooo snobby pretentious) and they do go to the Jersey Shore, but they do come back during the work week to get things done, so I wouldn't totally discourage any gal from visiting during the July or August.

I had a bad trip to Richmond, basically I was on the wrong side of town in an expensive hotel but the guys acted like I was in the ghetto.

I have never been to  a NYC hotel so don'ts know what area or hotel is acceptable. Lots of hotels to choose from but unless you know the area it can be a very expensive mistake after arriving when the hotel is not acceptable for visitors , if ya know what I mean

Thanks for letting me know about July as I was thinking of being there after July 4th.. Too bad

Anything above 3 1/2 stars in NYC is going to cost more then 300 a night... It depends how many nights you want to be here or don't mind switching hotels day to day for better rates.

But I do have someone who do the room booking for me because of the better prices due to connections and to maintain my privacy from using my info.  But always stay around midtown, its easiest and the most busiest and one can blend in easily

If you like help just drop me a email

My suggestion to you if you want a kicking NYC trip is this .
You need to either get reviews first , and make them rock while your at it :)
Or if you have possibly existing reviews make them linked to your name , seriously imperative to have those here .
Make sure your profile and pics are up to date , guys submit this info sometimes they guess  .
Be sure your profile is an accurate description of you  .
Come in October or November . Year over year it is a great month .
Then post your arrival dates weeks before on the ad board and let them know your planning on coming . Also post those ads on the NJ and CT boards we are a tri state area , people maybe willing to come over to NYC to see you .It isn't that far for some .
See that you give yourself enough lead time to screen the guys , make a schedule that truly works well for you and then come on down .
Do not make the mistake of coming to NY and not planning at least some downtime to see a bit of NYC before you go . I truly love it here I hope you do as well  :) Good luck to you ,Kendall Lynn.
