When you get a hotel room on a floor right that is directly next to an elevator waiting area, please do try and get moved one further away?

Venting complete.

And now back to your regularly scheduled threads...

When you will get a room in an upscale hotel, we will happily visit you there. Otherwise, be confident and walk in like you are staying there (even for an hour). Problem solved.

And now back to our regular, happy clients...

So you want the provider to go back downstairs and then ask for a different room?  Just because you feel it's too close to the elevator?

I get it, but what is the provider supposed to say?  That the room is too close to the elevator?

It has nothing to do with entering the room, its about noise and distraction. I happen to know a number of women who specifically book rooms at the end of the hallways for privacy purposes, something I appreciate. So after an experience last week when a very noisy elevator bay was a distraction for me, I just thought I would throw that suggestion out there. Personally I always make such a request due to the amount of noise that happens in such areas late at night by drunken guests, and I don't care for my sleep being interrupted.

I forgot what a petty and short-tempered, "go fuck yourself buddy" place this board can be sometimes.

I know it makes sense, but how is a a provider supposed to make sure this happens upfront instead of having to go back down and then change her room?  I suppose she could always to be away from the elevator, but this is the first time I have ever seen someone complain about this so vehemently.

The suggestion is one thing.  The tone of your original post seemed extremely annoyed.  Sorry if that's not how you meant it.

No need to get all pissy about it, really.

and your snide little remarks. You've gotten awful pissy and self righteous yourself since creating your alias.

about how many reviews you have done under alias either. Everyone already got the message on multiple threads on other boards.

away from the elevators. In fact, I think it's a smart idea to so.

Now as far as getting laid......:)

The issue for me isn't that the request is stupid per se.  It's just a stupid request once you have checked into the room to go downstairs and then request one farther away.

If you want a room farther away, then ask for it at check-in.  It's painful to have to go up to your room, then realize it's not what you want, and then go back downstairs to change it.

And it's REALLY lame for clients to bitch about the room location.  If that's such a big fucking deal, then stipulate it upfront when you book with the provider that you just are not comfortable with rooms by elevators.  Simple as that.

Coming on the board and bitching about it after makes you seem...inflexible.  And a bitch.

My comment is more to the guys who find the near-elevator location such a problem that it distracts them from enjoying the session.

To me it's just neurotic, no different than the guy who just can't enjoy himself because one detail is wrong or not up to snuff.

Maybe I just don't care that much.

I mean, I wouldn't go on a board and complain about room location, you know?

Exactly. For a guy, it should not make a difference. In fact, being in a room near an elevator mitigates against hotel security standing around. They would be too conspicuous. I had an incident a few years ago in a mid-town Manhattan hotel, where security was lined up outside a door near the end of a hall, where I was about to meet a provider. I left, called the agency to explain, and never went back. Learned subsequently that the girls were busted. For a provider, that also could be relevant, but if she is staying multiple nights, being near an elevator never affords a peaceful sleep. I travel a great deal for work, and I always ask to be far from the elevator.
