From what I've been told

1-increase LE action on providers...particularly agencies and AMPs?
2-selective LE action...only on those not cleared by Homeland Security?

But seriously, don't these guys (either political party) think about a bit of action here in NYC?  Do they get a list of providers that have been somehow cleared?  I wonder what might we expect in the next 2 months?

I think you might expect a lot of guys to give hobbying a miss in the weeks leading up to the convention and touring providers to wait till afterwards before making their visit.  Many people have advised me to wait till after the convention leaves town before my late summer visit and said they will be avoiding any unnecessary journeys around Manhattan because they expect security to be a pain.

I guess the convention guys with have the town to themselves (them and thousands of protestors!)

Set up an incall location near Madison Square Garden.
Staff it with hot-looking out-of-work actresses.
Advertise on eros.com and cityibe.
Make numerous appointments for the night before Bush's coronation -- but only with Repugnantcan delegates.
Invite paparazzi from the Daily News, Inquirer, Tattler, etc.
Also invite good Democratic NYC Vice Squad cops.

...car bombs, anthrax in the subways, suitcase nukes.  I think all these possibilities should occupy a higher priority in NYC than some delegate from Dallas diddling some doll.  Think about it:  If a terrorist strike hit the city during the convention, and it came out that police manpower was diluted by round-ups at escort agencies, wouldn't more than a few careers be fried?  Like...the police commish...top brass...mayor michael mommy? Come to think of it, these are the guys hunting down people who sneak a butt in a bar.   Just as a matter of simple politics these guys should put everything behind anti-terror efforts.  Between security checkpoints and gridlock the convention will be a good time to be away from the city.  Something else:  My prediction is their won't be ANY visiting escorts in Manhattan during the convention -- for the simple fact every hotel room around is booked.

More hotel rooms to go around in Central NJ, and you can grab all that cabbage from the the beachgoers.  If they are paying $10 for a slice of pizza and a soda, I'm sure you can entice a few of the guys to divert their mad money to more enjoyable pursuits.....  (AND you get to work on that tan during the day)

...while your reasoning is sound and priorities straight, I bet there will be a crackdown by LE.

AMP's are not legitimate businesses, so I wouldn't be surprised if LE has checked them out already.

Busting Providers and Hobbyists will be far from their minds. The only type of "cleaning up" they may do is street/bar hustling which may be just for asthetic appearances. They will probably also require the ladies to show photo ID before being let up to the rooms ( already done in the more expensive hotels) or they may not let us up at all without the guest staying there, in which case we would have to be escorted to the room. Security will be very tight and it will be a pain in the a$$ getting in and out of the city.
