Not sure if this is legit but they requested I sent 40% through western union, wire transfer or money gram. I'm a little skeptical but would really like to meet her. Any thoughts?

Of the amount of detail given to make it easier for them to separate you from your money.  In this case however, the deposit probably goes to Russia.

So does that mean it's not legit?

If you google her name, it looks like she is a porn star.  Maybe she is legit.  Although the  amount of detail given about how to make a deposit is a bit suspect, at least to me.

In general, deposits are not a good idea unless it is with a truly trusted party.
.
She has one review from FIVE YEARS AGO.
http://www.theeroticreview.com/reviews/franceska-jaimes-6464623695-192835
.
The 2012 reviewer mentions being contacted by Chloe from an agency he had used. "Chloe" probably means Chloe who runs Perfection Models. (Search the Porn Star board.)
.
From the wording, does it appear that Jaimes has started her own Escort Agency? I can't tell.
.
Nonetheless, there's a lot that might go wrong (canceled trip to NYC, last minute cancel when someone asks for 3 hours, booker screw up) and you will have no way to get your refund back. My other thought is that some agencies that rep touring and int'l touring girls might want to get their cut via the deposit directly from the client instead of having to hope that the hostess will remember to send it to them.  A wad of cash in hand can make one very forgetful of other obligations, especially if you're in Europe and your agent is in LA.
.
Let me also ask: are the web site pictures current or is that FJ from 5 years ago? I'd ask for some recent pics.
.
In general, deposits are not a good idea unless it is with a truly trusted party. I suggest you look for a reliable, well-reviewed Provider closer to home. There are so many great choices in NYC.

Legit or not, there is a risk of losing your entire deposit due to the flimsiest excuse.

and family, only send what you are prepared to lose. There is no reason to fork over a “deposit” that is more than likely “non-refundable”. Franceska is a hottie but don’t be “that guy” plus, 40% is incredibly high.
