I've been wondering if I get an incall location in Manhattan, how much location matters to hobbyists?

If you're going to see a provider does she have to be in midtown west, midtown east, midtown in general,  the financial district or just anywhere below 96th street? I'd love hear your thoughts!

Everyone is going to be different. I stay in midtown hotels when I stay over for work. I don't mind a 20 minute walk (or 10 minute cab/Uber). Would prefer to be between 30th and 60th and not uptown. Downtown would be ok if it's right off a main subway line.

Midtown East is best.  Although it means extra time driving, the hotels there are many, and are favorable for hobbying.  Not that the other other locales you mentioned are unfavorable...not a problem here wherever you are in Manhattan.

I agree with that completely. It can take longer to travel 5 blocks crosstown than 20 blocks uptown. Depending exactly on where you are, crossing Central Park can introduce some roundabout delays.

East - West is important info. Landmarks ("walking distance from" or "5 minutes from" Penn Sta, GCT, Columbus Circ, ...) is very useful.

That's why I moved there. But I am sure the hobbyists live all over Manhattan. xo

Midtown east and midtown west are both fine.  I do prefer midtown east near Grand Central.

Okay seems like most of you prefer Midtown East. I assumed because Port Authority, Penn Station and the Lincoln Tunnel are there, that the West side was preferred.

 I think I'll look into finding a place in Midtown East then

If I am searching for someone to see, I start my search in Midtown East and go from there.

If I want to see someone specific, then it doesn't matter where she is.  I'll make my way there.  But, the further away she is, the more time it will take, round trip, which affects my availability.

My own convenience aside, I think Midtown is generally more accessible for everyone.  You can get to Time Square or Grand Central from almost anywhere in Manhattan in under 30 minutes.

In general midtown east or west, whichever way is fine.  Lots of options.

Personally I prefer going to the bigger hotels (usually chains) which have lots of people and activity in the lobby.  Very easy to blend in, especially in the summer.  My heart always skips a beat when it's a very small boutique hotel and I have to pass pretty much the entire staff on the way to the elevator...

Not a location tip, but please always make sure the hotel doesn't need key cards for elevator access.  Last year I met a lady at a place in Midtown which needed key cards and it was super awkward to get me to the room.  I felt like that awkwardness bled into the session, which didn't help...

If you're setting up shop for a few days, you want a space that is the most convenient for the most clients to make your trip worthwhile. If you locate somewhere permanently, the guys who really want to see you will eventually find the time to get to your space. But yeah, Midtown is generally best. For sure you want to be a short walk from the subway.

An approximate location would be good before one go through all the bureaucracy

I always get the vibe that Mid-town East is a favorite for guys. For me (as a City dweller), the only place I'm not too keen on is maybe the Financial District. Pain to get there during the week, and truthfully even on a weekend or off day with uber, I just can't be bothered with that area. Otherwise I personally don't care that much.

I agree. Although personally I prefer anything from W4 up to 58th St (Central Park). To me this is the most convenient region for hobbyists all over the city, including parts of the other boroughs and NJ. Plenty of transportation options with reasonable commute times, sub 30 mins. If you move down to FiDi you start to limit those willing to make the trek, go too far into the Upper West or East. Most of this is just due to commute times and transfers. This is just me thinking out loud, from the perspective of someone that doesn't live in Manhattan.

In a word...YES!  

What's the OLD saying about real estate? "location, location, location?"

Luckily for YOU, Madam, you've come to a city that has one of the MOST extensive public transit systems in the world (whether it works WELL is ANOTHER issue!)

Your MAIN concerns regarding a location for your "enterprise" should be THUS -  

1) Is it DISCREET?  In other words, is there ALOT of what's known as "foot traffic?"  Many gents, ESPECIALLY the married ones, would prefer a DISCREET location where they WOULDN'T have to worry about running into their friends (or WORSE yet, their WIFE's friends!).

2) Is it REASONABLY near a SUBWAY stop?  If you have to walk TOO far, say to some ISOLATED, out of the way part of town, that might DISCOURAGE a potential "visitor."  By the same token, if you establish yourself reasonably near a transit hub, you may not even need to pay the typical INFLATED rents you'll find in Manhattan.  You can look into an OUTER borough like Queens, again, assuming it's RELATIVELY close to a transit hub/subway stop.

3) If you INSIST on Manhattan, then I would definitely stick to MIDTOWN, preferably midtown EAST, where MOST of NYC businesses are concentrated.  Sure, you'll pay an OBSCENE amount of money for a rental, but you'll have access to POTENTIAL "visitors" from ALL over the city, especially those who would pay you a "visit" during their lunch hours, and a MIDTOWN east location would make it CONVENIENT for them to get BACK to their offices within a REASONABLE amount of time.

Ironically, young lady, your thinking is NOT off base.  For those of us who've been in the NYC scene LONG enough, we SHOULD remember that THAT location featured ONE of the branches of one of the most NOTORIOUS "cathouses" of its day (no longer in existence, unfortunately).

Why did the owner place ONE of her most POPULAR locations in that area?  

Precisely for the reason that young Ms. Mercier (LOVE that name!) mentioned - location, location, location!

For those who remember it (and attended it!), it was the HEIGHT of discretion, and it was, as Chloe figured out, close to the Port Authority and the Lincoln Tunnel.

But, man, what a TACKY location in a typical NYC rundown tenament!

I will say ONE thing, ladies - if you are "good" at what you "do," (and this MADAM was!), TRUST me, location will be the LEAST of your concerns.  The WORLD will come to YOU.

As for location, I concluded based on the responses that Midtown east is best so I've been looking into Midtown east 34th to 52nd Street.  Preferably close to a 6 train station.
