The quick answer re references is, you won't solve the by tonight or tomorrow.  But try joining a screening service like P411 or DateCheck.  There are lots of girls listed on each  site who are "newbie friendly."

Check and see what the lady requires to see her. Many of us are newbie friendly, if you give the info needed to verify you are who you say you are. Be a gentleman. a lady will tell if she wont see men without reference, find a lady that does take newbies.
