Do hobbyists ever book providers on holidays and are any providers willing to work on a holiday?

I just spent the 4th of July solo in NYC and would have loved to have had company but it seemed like there was no one around. The email goes dark and the boards get a little silent but I have to wonder if EVERY single hobbyist is with his family, SO etc.?  Are there any hobbyists who would love to book a holiday but almost find it a little taboo to do so?

Lol...that was my earlier post haha...was looking on Long Island and still am seems holiday weeks are not great...so now I am all pent up lol

I had a lovely date with a gentleman during the afternoon - wine, keeping cool and some great company. Nothing like some private fireworks *ahem*  to start the holiday off right !! Then it was time for part 2 - headed home to shower and change, and then back out to the Intrepid to watch the fireworks over the Hudson with some friends... and maybe a little more wine

Many are with families so it's a little hard to schedule.  I'm a single guy, so I woulda loved to have met up with someone, but providers also have lives.

I did spend one 4th with a provider who is well-known, but it was more as friends than anything else.  We did hook up after, but honestly if we didn't, it woulda been just fine with me, as well (assuming we were off the clock).

Sometimes it's just nice to spend it with someone and not be alone, even if it's not a session.

...... i'd have decided to have incall on  7/4 (and day after) it'd have been a very busy day for sure.  Might depend on where you are (i'm currently in the DC area).

Had I known you were available, I would have considered changing my plans, and not got stuck waiting for a call that never came through.  Only problem is that NYC is crazy on the 4th with the fireworks and assorted hoopla.  Kind of like hobbying on New Years Eve.

Personally, the only holiday I can recall hobbying on was Christmas Eve about 5 years ago, which was an interesting evening to say the least.  Generally, holidays wouldn't be problem if there are ladies around in the evening hours, and I'm in town.

I often find weekends to be the same as holidays -- very difficult to book.  I also was by myself on the 4th and could have used some fun

I guess the nice part about being jewish is that Christmas is just a day to go eat Chinese food on. I spent the evening of Christmas day with a wonderful friend last year. Also made a visit to someone on Memorial day this year as well.

I think it merely depends on circumstance.

.....but to answer the OP question.....as long as it was planned in advance, holiday get togethers would be great, but it usually the ladies have family commitments or obligations which makes them unavailable.  But if a favorite lady was available on any holiday, works for me.

my phone rings quite a bit then and I get emails requesting appointments. NYC may be dead during holiday times but Long Island is still hopping.
