The thinking is that you don't want to alert anyone (hotel management, LE, etc.) to the info.

E.g., "Hotel ABC on 987th St. requires a key card but George, at the front desk (mustache + eye patch George) will swipe you in for $5." "Hotel DEF on 876th St. doesn't require a key card to operate the elevator but has security in the lobby. Bob, Louie, and Michelle will "look the other way" for $5. Don't cross Pat! She'll grab you by the collar and throw you out to the sidewalk."
