What does it mean when the status of a review says "Deferred"?

It means it has been tossed into Staff's pile. Must be a good review, high scores and/or a good nasty read. It will come out eventually, at least that is what happened with a couple of mine. This happens with all great literature. Only the banned books are worth reading, right? (*smirk*)

My latest reviews were temporarily placed in "Deferred" status, as well.  I inquired via PM to Staff what it meant, and it the reviews literally were approved before I read the reply.  The reply stated that they were being examined by a senior staff member.  What Michelle says is probably true, since the reviews I mention that I wrote certainly fit the criteria that she describes.  I would think that part of the problem may rest in the fact that there has been a bit of hanky-panky going on in some parts regarding reviews being submitted from improper sources - that's mere speculation on my part, but why else would the powers-that-be take more time to examine a particularly good review that gives a provider very high marks?  I would not worry.  If the review is legitmate, it will surely be approved in short order.  If not, I would send a PM to "Staff" and ask.
