If a lady will be touring NYC, do you want to know a month ahead, two weeks before, the week of? What is best? I realize that everyone likes to plan ahead, but is there a time when advance notice is just too far ahead?
Also, ladies who are based in NYC, do you just assume they will always be around or would like to see their schedules as well?
Or, do you just not really care and when the mood strikes just see who's around?
I know that everyone is different, it depends upon family, work and who you are interested in. But I just wanted to know if there is a time frame that seems to work best for all involved.

Sometimes, it's only a week or even a few days.
With a certain NYC-based woman, I've booked 2-3 months ahead because we both knew our schedules. The anticipation is both great and difficult.
I'm very selective and try to be proactive. Planning works best for me.

I live in a small city in the deep south, bible belt, so I have to travel to see any provider. I typically plan and schedule my date out one moth ahead of time. This will get me the best price for flight and hotel. I'd much rather spend mote time with a lady than pay last minute travel prices. I guess that's a lie really, because I'm going to see the lady for at least 3 hours anyway if I'm going to take all the time and aggravation to travel then I'm going to spend a good amount of time with the lady. Planning that far out also seems to minimize the risk of her cancelling last minute or hitting during her cycle.
I understand that if you're going to tour here you need to lock in enough dates as far out as possible. So run an ad a few weeks in advance, but be sure to run another when you're a week away -- assuming you're not completely booked.
I agree with the last comment; start looking about a week or so ahead usually. Mostly because my own schedule is rarely firm enough to guarantee that I can make it if I plan further out than that.
...I have often gone to places like DC / Philly / NJ last minute (a day or 3 max) because someone asked me to.
Sometime the traveling bug hits and I post an ad to see who is around a day before or the day of even, I have had very good luck with this.
Even in NY, on other ad venues I post for places like Upstate and Long Island with less than a week notice and it works out well. (I only accept extended dates when I travel far because I only want to see one gentleman each day)
While I like at least a weeks notice for everything some gentlemen want to see a lady ASAP, since yesterday, haha! I find this very true for NYC, everyone is about the now and the fast. It can't be soon enough or fast enough.
So all in all, at least with NYC you will be okay with a weeks notice but to be safe (especially if you are coming from far) I would put out ads at least a month ahead, then do a reminder at two weeks and then be stunned when everyone books you the week of.

I think knowing the week of a possible meeting would be enough time. WHen you come up will you be visiting the Jersey area as well? Although I live in the 5 boros of New York, I tend to prefer ladies in the Central Jersey area. Have a nice weekend.

It all depends.
Is it a local lady who I see regularly? Is it a first visit? Is it a lady that is visiting the area?
If it is a lady I'm a regular with it can be shorter notice. 72 hours to same day.
Local lady I hadn't seen before. 72 hours to 24 hours.
Touring lady. Once she announces the tour to 72 hours before I want to see her.
Touring lady that emails me to let me know she is coming. As soon as I'm told of the planned visit. This has been as far as 3 weeks before arrival but this has also caused problems when the lady cancelled her visit last minute.
and I'd like to plan one for Nov 29.
I don't normally plan that far ahead, but I'm visiting the city a few days only and it is right after Thanksgiving. 
If I'm looking for touring ladies it's nice to see their posts starting a month ahead, and then weekly for reminders
if they are not local, the more time the better. Working in a fluid work schedule environment, the earlier I know a lady's availability, the better I can plan to be away from work.
If a lady has a calendar on her site, but it doesn't have anything in it, I tend to move on. I've seen some local ladies in the past put at least an "In town all month" text in the 1st day of the month block so as to indicate their availability.
For traveling ladies, I will also do a search of the NY Ad Board to see if she had listed any cancellations after prior announcing a visit. If so, I would tend to not contact her until a week or two out max.
If I'm seeing someone who is from this area, usually no more than a few days. If seeing one of my out town friends locally, usually make contact further out, as much as a week or longer. If I'm on the road (as I am this week-end), it can be either weeks out, or with a very short window (no more than two days). All depends...
This is an impulsive business; I don't know about others, and may be I'm different than most, , but one day is the maximum I can plan ahead for this - otherwise I lose interest
I am always a last minute kind of guy. Not sure why but have always been that way. I know it doesnt always work for some of the ladies. I need to work on that.

My work hours vary greatly from week to week. As such, when I'm in the mood for a session, I usually start Sunday (when my schedule comes out) looking for ladies whose schedule would fit mine. (Ie, I don't have to go to work that day until 2pm so maybe an 11am session). If there's someone visiting that I really want to see, I will try to put in a schedule request in for that day (but as these must be done 2wks in advance minimum, the last-minute advertisers I'll have to pass on unless their schedule already meshes with mine.
