I was wondering if anyone has any answers as to why this NJ discussion board seems so lifeless considering NJ is such a hotbed for providers. We are only getting a few posts a week, and mostly from the same people. Since I am fairly new here i was wondering what the gentleman were thinking as this truly could be so much better. Is it the provider ad section that hurt us here? Or just plain laziness?
I heard at one point this place was really hopping. Apollo? anyone?

This board has never been overly active regardless of who was moderating it. A search of the board from it's inception will show that. It does have it moments though. Philly is the same way.

The ad board does give the discussion board a leaner look, no question about that. Discussions about providers can be posted on the discussion board as much more will be allowed then answering their ad posts.

While no one can force participation, the NJ members have to decide for themselves if they want to post. They also decide the subject matter either positive or negative. However, if the board is too unfriendly towards providers and hobbyist's shout them down, I wouldn't expect many of them to post.

Thanks for the post. Hopefully there will be more input and other opinions voiced.

A - TER came late to the NJ party & started a NJ board after another site started an all NJ board

B - The old Mod (rhymes with fuck) killed this board with rules & Gestapo style modding (he did that in Philly too)

C - The separation of ads & discussion recently hasn't helped either. Ladies post free ads & don't participate otherwise.

It seems that certain people do nothing but complain about their own personal agendas and think everybody else gives a crap. It makes the NJ board a negative place that has been rampant with trolls and flame wars lately. I guess people feel there is no point in posting when a few bad apples ruin the bunch.

IMHO Atlanta is the most friendly and affordable provider hobbyist city in the USA
Take a look at that discussion board

Don't know why it just works real nice.

I don't think affordability of the hobby is an issue, but  our state is hurting for good looking providers at any price point.  Most serious hobbyists in this state go to NYC.  People in NJ  are friendly & tend to wave with one finger!   :-)

I'm not from NJ but go there frequently and have been with some great girls at prices ranging from $250 to $400.  Also, some great girls from NY tour in NJ.  For example, Sindee and Ashley Dior do both states.  I'm sure there are more that do, but these two spring to mind first.

A guy comes on asking a legit question and the thread gets hijacked into a pissing contest.  Who got helped by that?

Apollo, I am not buying your argument that NJ is in the shadow of NYC. Geographically maybe,  It is a long corridor down to Philly with a bazillion hotels and a lot of  people. I agree with the poster that said that there is no harmony here for some reason. Maybe people do come here to vent, but I see no reason that this board cannot be civil again given some direction and solutions. Mods don't ruin threads, posters do. NJ guys for the most part are pretty sane, and see a wide variety of women of all shapes and sizes. We also have a lot of great agencies and traveling providers regularly make this a stop. NJ rates are also generally cheaper than NYC, That is another positive. Travel here is a lot cheaper.

Here are some ideas: Why don't some of the members here stop fighting and posting immature crap and start participating in some real discussion?  I think we need to inject some life back here, so let's start coming up with some solutions and stop blaming the trolls for the lack of useful and helpful information.

but look at the other boards.  New York is just as bad.  The General board is, too, and the P&R board is a freakin' monkey house.  Let's face it, this game of ours attracts some real misfits.  Many of them are angry and twisted and use this place as a way to vent about their warped view of humanity.  Sadly, you are not going to change them with a plea for civility.  I'm afraid that the best that can be hoped for is to ignore them and rely on the mods to discipline them when they overstep.  Sorry if this sounds cynical, but it's reality.

Then why have a board in the first place if it cannot be effective? Makes no sense.

Every once in a while people go nuts, then it settles down.  Just hunker down and be patient.  If a thread looks like it's out of control, just move on.

On game days when I have tickets, I can be in the stadium parking lot in twenty minutes.  I wish this area attracted the number of visiting ladies that NYC does, and that some resident NYC ladies that I know travelled here more often...I could cut out an hour of travel time, and save having to pay the tunnel tolls, and sometimes parking in the City.  The roster of resident ladies posting availability here is also limited, and more often than it's quicker to schlep it into the City than drive to other areas in NJ.

Then again, I am used to playing in the City, perceive it as safer from LE risk, and I am connected with the hobby social scene there, so take any of my comments with a grain of salt.  Note that I only lurk on that other board that caters to NJ, as I have never been impressed overall given all the BS one often has to wade through to get any useful intel.  The one lady I did visit from there back in '07...hid the fact that she had a six month bun in the oven, and though I was able to roll with that, the fact that she dropped a dime on some second rate NJ agency a few weeks later (which caused a train wreck of epic proportions on the site in question) that resulted in over a dozen provider and hobbyists getting nailed by Uncle Leo has always left a bad taste in my mouth regarding hobbying in my home state.  Exceptions would be made for one lady I have long known, and another I talked to in NYC last week that I have at three M&G's over the past few months that I have yet to meet with in person.

Sorry for rambling, but just adding my three pennies...

Why are the ad and general post board split anyway? Is there a way to merge them again? I hate flipping back and forth
