2 hour minimum requirement....Thoughts?

I was just wondering what the general consensus was regarding providers in NYC requiring a two hour appointment for travel to NJ for outcall.  Now, please keep in mind, I am not talking about outcall to SNJ but rather outcall to NNJ.  I understand, and completely agree, that a provider should be compensated for their time, but I do not understand why someone would steadfastly require a two hour engagement, especially if you are so inclined to go above the outcall rate to compensate for the cost of travel.  I understand that if a provider had to choose between a one hour outcall appt. w/ travel and a one hour incall appt or closer outcall, financially, the decision would be easy, but why limit yourself and preclude the chance at a gauranteed appt for the chance that you might find one more financially viable?  If I am way off base, I apologize, but I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on this issue.

If a girl drives to from  NNJ, it's a minimum  90 minutes round trip in driving + tolls.  Why not get your ass to NYC?  You will pay about $10 tolls + $50 parking + 90 minutes minimum driving  RT.

No, I understand the counter point.  The fact is convenience.  It would be much easier for a girl to come to me then vice versa.  With that said, I understand what you are saying, I guess my point was that if a girl could have an outcall appt. in NJ for above her outcall rate to compensate for the time/travel as opposed to no appointment, wouldnt it make sense to at least consider a 1 hour appt?  So, for example, if a girl's outcall rate was $500, and she was offered $650 for a 1 hr appt in NJ, and she did not have any other appointment in or around that time slot, wouldnt it make sense to at least consider the 1 hour offer?  I say this because providing is a low overhead business.  Virtually all money taken in by an independent provider is profit.  So, if you were being compensated for the travel, then you would still get your outcall rate and wouldnt be losing any money.  No?  I mean sure, it may not be worth it in the provider's mind to accomodate my lazy ass, but, it still makes sense to a degree, no?

Guys think outcall is easy breezy for us.

For girls providing only outcalls, yes it is because they usually take one or two appointments a day.

For girls providing only incalls, is not, because they are usually busier with a string of regulars coming to their places.

Now, for an incall girl who does like 4 appointments a day at 400 a piece, going on an outcall where she needs to spend time driving to wherever and return, plus traffic, it sums probably 2 or 3 hours or her time not being compensated for.

You might think 650 for a 500 girl is enough, but is not to justify her to go through all the trouble and time to get to your place and return to the city.

In the city, on these 2 or 3 hours, she might be able to fit one more client at 500 for a hour and don't step out of her door.

If you offer her double of her fee, plus transportation expenses, I bet she will consider to see you at your place.

But, I doubt if a lady will go all the way to NJ to visit a gentleman she never met.

If you want her to come to you, maybe is better if you take a trip to her place first so she feels comfortable with you and consider your offer for the outcall.

I don't think you're getting it.  it's not convenience, it's economics.

Look at it this way: a girl charges $500 per hour.  You want her to sit in a car and travel to see you for one hour for $650.  Let's assume that the time spent in the car is 1 hour roundtrip.  So, that's 1 hour with you and 1 hour in the car for 2 hours total time at $650.  If she's charging $500 per hour, she reasonably thinks she should get $1000 for 2 hours on your behalf.  See the difference?

Now, add in the cost of a driver or a taxi.  From NYC to NNJ that could easily be $50 plus probably a $10 tip.  So, now she's only taking in about $590 instead of $1000.  Add in tolls, traffic delays and the amount of money she's actually earning is dwindling rapidly.

Now, add in the fact that she can't book other clients because she's spending time in a car with you instead of seeing clients.  She also doesn't know when she can book clients AFTER you because she doesn't know how long it'll take her to get back - she might have to wait for a driver, there may be traffic, etc.  Then she needs time to get ready for another client - shower, makeup, dress, etc... and soon, that $650 you offered her for 1 hour isn't looking good at all...

Hello Everyone, I am Anna Marie!
I am kind of a lurker here but I have decided to start posting more in 2010!

This is an interesting thread--I am from NJ and I do the reverse. If I am doing outcall to NYC (Manhattan) I require a two-hour minimum for all outcalls to that area. The tolls-my time--its just not worth it to me. If I am doing incall in NYC then I am fine with one-hour connections because I am already in the city. BUT then again--I prefer two hours of time for most of my connections. It just takes time to get to break the ice and I have had better success on a multi-hour connections-with a  95 percent repeat!
Just my opinion.

With all mrfrench, he brings up all good points.
I also think it takes a gal more prep time for the outcall. she ,I assume,  must take the additional time to  pack all her goodies that she normally has at the incall etc.

Thank you
