Dear MS Mocha

 As you can see by the ads on Cityvibe, Backpage and other sites, Connecticut has a lot of very good providers that have ways of screening without using 411 or other sites. Although your rates seem to be in line with others here in Connecticut, VIP’s that I see coming to Connecticut that are listed on TER that require screening I can’t see paying so many roses for a service that I can get for a lot less and be just as happy. I’m not saying the VIP’s aren’t worth it but as a hobbyist a lot of the VIP’s are just to much. Maybe you should contact some of the providers in Hartford and ask them how thy screen.

I feel like i'm literally getting contacted from all sources by every single guy that does not want to be screened even though my ad(s) clearly state is it required. Do they think when we mention screening it's just fluff?  I don't want to be raped,robbed,shorted or murdered...is that so wrong?

Amazing how close we are to NY a city that stays ahead of the curve and CT is like a Dinosaur- so behind in so many ways. The market was great 3 years ago and now is saturated by young girls offering quickies and some are willing to take a risk in hopes of finding there inexpensive dream girl. My clients prefer maturity, intelligence and sophistication. That is definitely worth VIP rates.

.....i'm not even there yet and it's nuts. This will be my 4th visit (first in 2011 and two in 2012) and those all went pretty well lol.  It makes no sense to contact a provider you see will screen you and then proceed to be rude about it or try to avoid it altogether. I've met great guys my first 3 trips but all these new inquiries just have me at loss for words.  And again my rates (average) are not stopping them but I'm not understanding why they think it's okay to avoid screening or "try their luck" and it has me thinking they have something to hide OR no one else up there (local or visiting) bothers to screen them.

...also I have different screening options i'm good about that I'm just saying there's been a trend or just my bad luck with an overwhelming amount of people contacting me refusing screening even though they see that I require it and that pre-screening is necessary.  I don't need lessons in screening...that's not my issue.

When i played out that way in early 2000's the norm was full screening (identity screening was first name/last name and a way to verify it WAS that person-whether it be through listed phone number or work info) ..BUT THEN...most who were playing the internet/websited/reviewed escort arena were by standards..successful professional businessmen.

The changes over the years that we have seen..is that almost anyone/everyone has internet at their fingertips these days..meaning the trolls who were typically trolling the streets or the news ads. (and unfortunately..the women also) are "on-line" and "websited up" and almost everyone is an "upscale escort" or "agency" (vs pimp/street girl/by the hour volume call girl) etc.

it muddles the waters for both gents and ladies alike...what was a safe venue almost free of LE interference or pimp harrassment gets targeted now-warranting even More screening need...but also..we are getting an influx of guys who have never had to be screened and have moved from street scene to internet sites. (and also -the newbies.being influenced by the trolls in thinking disclosure to the right reputable companion is "risky"..not realizing the snowball effect it has on the community as a whole)

Hang in there. The gentlemen who are smart enough to see the benefit to them to see reputable, reliable ladies will come ....treat them like gold. realize that for the others..sometimes the 'delete" key can be your greatest friend.  

I've known 2 women who Have been killed in this industry..even at a higher $$$$$ level...your safety is key. It's not about you..or the advertising sources.. it's truly an unwelcome trend that probably won't go away as this becomes more and more "public" to all professional and non-professional levels. Heck..even the kids are emailing now *uughg*

I sorta miss the "super secret club" feel of the past... but sticking to your guns will offer an extra element of safety not just for yourself but for your current clientele also.

.... I don't even think i'm at a "higher" $$$ level. 200-300hr (on all the different sites i've looked at & use) seems normal and i'm right in the middle.
And yeah I didn't think it had to do where I advertise because I use everything (TER, EROS, P411, date-check, bp (bp rarely) and so on. But yeah influx of those never being screened/newbs influenced by trolls and just more of the public finding out and having access makes sense and I'm absolutely sticking to my guns..... I definitely have no interest in being robbed/raped/shorted/beaten up/murdered for the "dream" of a few hundred bucks.

I belong to TER, P411 and DC, and I live in CT. I have no problem providing whatever info a lady wants within reasonable limits (no home address or home phone). A lot of CT guys use BestGFE. I don't know if you consider that a screening vehicle but if you advertise there (which, if I remember correctly you do) then you might want to think about using BGFE reviews and postings as validation.

There are a lot of guys posting on BGFE complaining about screening. Most of the more experienced members generally tell them if they don't want to provide screening info or join P411/DC then they need to stop contacting ladies who require screening. It's that simple. If a lady requires screening and you're unwilling to provide it in some acceptable form you should back off.

You're right about a lot of CT guys. I don't know what to tell you except to stick to your guns for your safety and ours.

I do I make clear in my ads (pretty sure I do) that I accept reviewer history from sites other than TER also (posting history aside from actually having reviews ymmv). There's being picky about what you'll give and I try to be a bit flexible but a LOT of these guys are a different story..... they don't want to do ANY screening AT ALL (to which goes to my point of if you see I screen but you already know you don't want to to do any that do they think I mention it as a joke because they aren't used to any screening or have come across someone who says they screen but really doesn't). I dunno what guys on that other site are complaining about in reference to screening but again there's being selective on what you give and refusing altogether.

that they are OK guys. Most of the time I am contacted via phone, it is a man thinking they are special and can sweet talk me into not screening. WELL NO....now.... Contact via email ....much preferred.

I think that the type of guy I get along with is confident enough to understand that he has made a good choice in contacting a respected provider who is discreet for both their sake and values not only her own safety but his as well.

That said -It's tougher when you travel, I would think.

oh yes and Rhode Island isn't much better then CT in the screening department.:(

I just decided to base myself out of CT due to moving here lol
I didnt realize there was issue with screening here =/...
Hopefully once I start next month things miraculously change lol

.... (I screen by text and email) and I mean refusing to give anything (not just a few simple things like a TER handle with reviews or WL  or some other references either but....NOTHING).  It's past a screening issue.....it's like an epidemic or something.
Something is in the water because my first 3 trips were a breeze. Maybe a lot has changed in 1yr.

Mocha - Sorry for the bad experience in CT.  I don't like what I've read in this thread, but unfortunately am not surprised by it.  Personally, I appreciate screening - I'll only see providers that I know have been verified so why should I expect any less from them.  More safe = more fun.  Don't let the a*&holes up here ruin our state.  And if you really get tired of dealing with them, I would be more than happy to give you something to do to take your mind off of it.  ;)
