Why no reference?

I wish it were just that easy to get a provider to give a reference.  I've been promised a few, but to date just one sweet lady has given me one  ;

I don't know what you're talking about and i'm not full of shit. i did email you a long time ago, but then i decided to not see you, so i dropped communication with you. i think this level of public slandering is quite immature and largely unfounded. please don't reply thanks for the input
