It being Frank Pepe pizza? Should I make the trek to dine at pizza heaven or is it overrated?

very good  as is sally's and bar pizza   must not forget modern   all are excellent

De LEgna's next to Modern is also very good.  As a local I find Pepe's to be overrated.

Mike's is much better than Modern in my opinion... I'm a self-taught cannoli connoisseur

...the cheesesteaks lol. So....if the journey for you wherever you are in New England right now is 1hr or less and again you have the time I say got for it.

We used to drive there from Worcester. Of course now there's one in MA so it's not necessary. But, IMO it's tasty and definitely worth a go. Yummmmm eat a piece for me...I'm on the carb free kick 🙁

Since you'll be in Stamford you can go to the one in Fairfield (only 25 minutes away) instead of the original in New Haven (about 45 minutes away). Although I have eaten at both and honestly the one in New Haven is better. It must be the 100 year old original oven they use. And yes the pizza is incredible..... at either location.
