I have been perusing the web looking at modest hotels/motels. Factually,  it'd far more cost effective on both ends for me to stay at a lower end establishment for a longer period of time. I am now playing at home but I am curious for future reference what you think of going to see a gal at a less expensive place. Do you assume she is a  lesser quality gal? Do you even care?

....as long as I don't have to worry about being robbed or mugged while walkin from truck to building I'm ok with surroundings. A clean comfortable room is a must and a discrete entrance is a very good touch. I don't need or require a high end palace but a nice mid level place or nicer budget type place is ok too. Not real comfortable with low end in questionable neighborhoods. Just my 2 cents!!!!

OK fair enough   the place I looked at was in a rural area  close to a lake and a walking trail. It was definitely not high end lol but it's not a place that I think people get mugged. I think it would be kinda nice to make out by the lake and get all worked up. Then go back to the spot and have amazing sex. Just my. 02 ;-)

Cancelled on last minute because of where I was staying and I more often than not am at a 3.5 star minimum. Just not today, not booking a 3.5 star at 199 plus tax for one appointment...whether they show up or not.  So, I'm only out 99.75.  Ironically in the past when I've expressed the rates at the nice places and not willing to book for one appointment I've been told go cheap " I'm not here to see the room ".

If the shoe was on the other foot and they had to book a room to see you, I'm pretty sure they aren't booking the Ritz-Carlton.  I've had gentlemen in the past insist on my doing outcall because they don't like doing incall, they have always chosen a budget hotel.  I'm not talking about traveling businessmen, locals who simply aren't comfortable with incall.

There are some 4 star hotels downtown Boston where I think the rooms suck, mostly because they are small and in dire need of renovation and being updated. Sure they have nice lobby's but, I'm not sleeping or entertaining in the lobby.

Erin, I'm assuming you are looking at 2/2.5 star hotels.  Sometimes these don't meet a higher star rating because they don't have a restaurant, gym, pool, etc.  Of course you can get good deals on sites like priceline but to stay more than a couple of nights you also have to be willing to move around or find out you have to move to a different area.

In the end, there just isn't pleasing some people.  Others, they are just happy to see you and get to spend time with you.

Mara  I agree with paying for the Ritz to see one person. I only like to see one person per day. So I travel to wherever...I pay$200 for the room alone...add travel and food and basically I pay them to get laid...Hence the reason I stopped traveling... I miss it though...I like new surroundings and new experiences just as much as the next chick...But it's simply not cost effective :-(  For now I am going to continue turning my incall into a pleasure palace

Sounds like a fun change doing it outside by a lake ! Just bring the bug spray

But I also agree it is more the neighborhood than the cost of the room. Went to one ladies apartment in a local city and it was creepy walking thru the neighborhood where I obviously didn't belong and walk up the rickety stairs to her place. It was nice inside and we had fun but getting in/out wasn't

Extended Stay with Lisa of Boston. I worked for me. Safe entry exit really LE and clean are most impt for me. Done this everywhere with everyone for a long time and safety and cleanliness drive the experience .... not excluding the company. Its why I like outcall. :)

I liked your appartment…it was an easy in easy out, safe and not far from the highway and you keep it neat. Nothing like bangin a chick where she is comfortable.

Erin,  I'd not want to go to a motel type where the doors were outside & everybody in the world could see men come & go.  When traveling alone, I've stayed a budget hotels & frankly the rooms were disappointing.   I'm not there to swim in the pool, visit their restaurant, or other amenities.  I want a clean room, is all.  I don't count the stars.  I have seen ladies at moderate cost chain hotels where the room was not lacking in any way.
If you can find a clean room at budget rate, I'm all for it.

....the thought of staying somewhere dumpy gives me the hives.
I've always been able to get something 3 star or better for 100 or much less per night.

And most of us are only looking for a rental of body parts.  While arms and legs are important, they are not necessarily the first priority.

I was less than mile up/down the road on Monday from a 3.5 star for less than I paid where I was and cancelled on. Of course, I had been there 8 days prior, where I took a forward face dive and split my lip. To recover and stay in the area, I booked a room with rewards points, so not to have to worry about not being able to work. By Sunday I felt comfortable to start taking appointments the following day, I didn't think much about the hotel and I had already stopped using reward points several days earlier...just handed them my card, honestly I was probably being lazy because my room was beyond clean ( I can keep my room cleaner than housekeeping ). I also hate packing things up, especially to go up the road.
But, yes, indeed you can usually get a 3+ at a good rate, the 3.5 star would have been $30 odd less.
Also, it's good to move around. Some hotels, you quickly learn, pay n attention to what's going on. I know plenty of traveling businessmen who have to stay under a certain dollar ceiling and/or their company gets special rates at 2/2.5 star hotel chains across the country.
Believe me, I like the nicer hotels. I also know I spend more money at their restaurants than I do for the room in most instances.
If I feel safe, anyone meeting me should know it's good to go.

Erin, we should take the Downeastet up to Maine sometime, visit Penny and...get 'er done lol!

I don't care what type of hotel or motel you select as long as the room and bathroom are clean, the entrance is not in full view of the lobby or parking lot and there are not a lot of people hanging around watching my ingress and egress. Motels that open up to the parking lot give me the creeps and may negatively effect my performance. I haven't no showed when this happens but I've thought about it. I certainly don't see them again.

On another note you may need to tweak your business model. How can any lady maximize her earnings potential by seeing just one guy a day unless it's a lucrative, multi-hour session. I realize that you can't or don't want to see too many different guys in one day. The economics don't seem to work if you only see one guy though. Why not book a couple of guys in days your staying in a hotel then go home and take a few days off. I can sympathize with the ladies that do this and actually go home with little left in their pockets. I realize that it might be fun and stimulating work but you need to be compensated for your efforts. I don't like the thought of you beautiful ladies going home empty handed or with little to show for your work.

you check in. A friend of mine is a manager of a local hotel and started as a maid 15 or so years ago...She says you wouldn't believe how many people ask to see the room before they check in. So several years ago, I started doing that as well. Some hotels with high star ratings can be old and just plain nasty with bad housekeeping or whatever....Some lesser rated hotels may be newly built and super clean...They build more Holiday Inn's than they do Hilton's. So I tend to look at the year the hotel was built if I have to book very far in advance and in area's I am not familiar with
