long time lurker, fist time posting one here...but I just had to vent. I finally bit the bullet and saved up the money, and was going to treat myself to an early christmas present. I called several providers on Friday...kept getting voice mail, and no responses. finally one texted me back, but before I read the text, another one called me. In person. she sounded sweet, and we made a date for noon yesterday. sat. morning I hit the road about 10am, and called to confirm...no answer. I kept driving in the hope that she would respond, and I'd be on time. finally got to the location, called several more times and waited a 1/2hr. finally had to leave to get home before I was missed...so what did I do wrong?

This kind of thing should never happen. And it doesn't happen to anyone who makes a date with me. Please Please gentlemen, stick to the girls with great reviews and a reputation that doesn't disappoint. Unless you have wiggle room to have a bad experience as they say "taking one for the team". I'm sorry that you had your heart set on this and it was your christmas present, only to be treated so badly. You don't need to worry that you did something wrong. There are girls in this biz who just don't care. Please remember, any women has the ability to become an escort. But not all of them are good business women, or have empathy and kindness. The girls with good reputations will have all of these things: Kindness and Empathy, professional and courteous demeanor, and good communication. Please don't give up. I've had this happen once.  I always have to schedule for a pretty much exact time.  I can't afford to wait as my windows are few and far between.  Once I was traveling for work and was going to be passing through an area.  Scheduled a girl for a particular time.  I had a meeting scheduled for an hour and a half after the appointment time.  I got to the area and called several times.   No answer.  Pulled over and waited about 20 minutes then continued on.  She called about 20 minutes later saying she could see me then.  Was too late by then.  I'm guessing she did in fact double book.  She had reviews but this was my first time seeing her.  Never did go back.

for any screening info, imho that's a sign of a sketchy provider.  

Going further did you check her reviews?  I have the feeling that you called some girls off backpage without checking the ads out at all. That's usually a recipe for a rushed bad session, finding a girl that doesn't look like her or picks, getting robbed, or even arrested in an LE string.

Maybe you were lucky after all.

Also even with a reviewed providers you should have confirmed the appointment that morning. Some girls just say "come on over" to whoever calls, and the first guy who gets to the parking gets her on the phone and gets to see her.

It may be helpful for the other hobbyist if you tell which provider was unreliable.  I know I have clients drive over a hour each way to see me and they do so because they know I am reliable and a low volume provider.

Gina is right, besides, it is a provider's responsibility to make sure everything is confirmed.  I also have clients that drive an hour each way to see me as well.  It seems like mature providers are more reliable as the young ones.  I am also low volume as well. I do love to travel as long as the weather permits it.  We will be having more cold weather on it way to New England this week, so please be careful ladies and gentlemen.  Also, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  I am going to be working again this week to stay close to my home state since the storm is coming.
