What are some of the things that go through your mind before your first meeting with a new gent?  Are you concerned about things such as appearance, intelligence, personality, attitude, etc.?  In other words, how do you prepare yourself mentally and emotionally for that new encounter?

I go above & beyond with screening to make sure I, in fact click with a gentlemen before the appointment. I know some guys aren't fond of e-mail for initial contact, but it really makes me feel more ready to greet a new suitor with enthusiasm, if we exchange a few "get to know you" emails first, similar to internet dating.

Appearance- I could care less, as I'm attracted to all different types of people, and I've found if you sit and chat with someone for a bit when they arrive, their attraction shines through.

Intelligence- This comes across in the initial e-mail. I am drawn to intelligent men. If they aren't they will usually be intimidated by my educational level, and have different male ways of expressing it. Which aren't always pleasant. Sorry guys, I'm a very strong, independent  woman, and can't play the part of damsel in distress.

Personality & Attitude- Same as appearance.

Long story short,  I still have the "what if's" go through my head before a date starts. If you're on time, clean & respectful you will always be a perfect "10" on the hobbyist scale, in my book.

Thanks, Ashley.  Your thoughtful and insightful response can serve as an aid to me and other hobbyists who are looking for an uncomplicated and mutually beneficial experience.  I hope my buds take time to read it.  Thanks, again.

Thank-you, for helping make this board more active. I've always loved TER, and was glad when they gave our area a spot on the map.

On that note, since I'm moving away from being a traditional escort I have started a blog(linked at the bottom) Not a tell all, but more of a reflection with areas of insight.

Appearance - As long as you are clean (from head to toe) that is one thing that does not concern me. Some of the "hottest" guys have been complete jerks. I would rather have a nerdy down to earth guy any day of the week over that.

I like people that I click and communicate well with. I too enjoy some conversation beforehand - emails/Ims etc. to establish if we have a connection or not. If I don't think I am a good fit for the person I am happy to recommend someone who might be.

Normally whats is going thru my head is a mental checklist of everything I need to bring or do before an appointment. After I get to the door its just relax and have fun. :)~

Thanks, BBE.  I appreciate your comments and also believe it's good to break the ice with a little communication beforehand to determine personality, etc.

Front line screening is always standard safety screening. If you have been around long enough you know what I'm talking about. That tells a companion that you are serious about booking an appointment, and not a time waster or some young kid. We(companions) may seem business-like until that gets done. After we get you verified as safe to see then the "get to know you" portion of screening goes into play.

The fastest way to never hear back from a companion is simple one liner e-mails with text messaging language, " RU AVAILABLE 2nite." Come on, you guys are grown men! Introduce yourself, call the companion by name and state when you are seeking an appointment- this goes for both e-mail & phone, and as the old adage goes, "Treat a whore like a lady, and a lady like a whore."

Thanks ladies.  These are great tips but this looks like a three-way conversation.  C'mon, folks--jump in!
