Lester was right. Letting her go was the safest option, avoiding a potential escalation. In high-emotion situations, snap decisions can lead to regret. That's why it's wise to let sleeping dogs lie. But now, instead of just leaving a board post to vent, please consider writing a rip-off review to warn other clients.
Regarding the comments about AA providers, it's crucial to understand that while your observation is based on personal encounters it still led to a generalized, discriminatory statement because of the unwise choices *you* have consistently made it appears. As you stated, the girl was from "gator", despite you typically "avoid[ing] that site", and she "didn't have reviews or online presence". So, even though you put yourself in a situation where her reputation was unknown, and it appears do so consistently, you make a sweeping, negative statement. I would appreciate your correction if my logic is flawed or if I'm missing something.
Minneapolis has its share of several legitimate and professional local AA providers, as well as bi &/or multi-racial providers of AA descent. TERs search feature could have connected you with them. In my extensive experience in this industry, I can confidently say that every reputable black provider I've met, locally and globally, goes above and beyond to prove their professionalism. We are well aware of the common stereotypes and biases held by clients, especially white clients. One misstep can unfairly stigmatize us. Additionally, I have participated in duos and trios with providers from various races and ethnicities, and I must note that the most unprofessional encounters were not with women of color. More often than not, it has been the white women that clients tend to idolize who displayed less professionalism and/or could get away with more (re: no makeup, no lingerie, smoking during an appointment, etc.). But just because that's happened doesn't mean I write off duos with white women - lol. I just don't work with that particular person in the future.
