When I was a kid looking at pictures of women in bikinis I always thought the little bulge underneath the panties was a 'mini-penis'.  Kinda is I guess.

I remember asking my mother that after hearing the term on the school bus back in 5th grade. And yes she explained what the term meant in a short and simple fashion. I was lucky to have that type of relationship with my parents; they used correct body terms and didn't shy away from normal, healthy sexuality.

Another memory I have is from sex ed class ... putting condoms on bananas in junior high and joking with my best friend about it, saying "I wonder if they will teach us how to give a good BJ".  They didn't of course but that day when I got home, I practiced on one.

I remember hearing that you can get pregnant even if a guy ejaculated on your belly; the sperm could swim all the way to your vagina and to an egg. Another one was that masturbating was bad and makes your vagina loose. And guys that masturbated were gay.  Ohh the silly sex "facts" we heard from other kids lol.

How did you first learn about sex and sexuality? What did your parents tell you? What did you learn in school? Do you feel you were adequately prepared? Any funny, messed up things you heard about sex that were incorrect?

was trying to impress me, and went CIMSWLS...
to me, that was the definition of BJ (at the time!)
It lingers in my memory...

If you pee in a woman's VJJ, THAT is how she gets pregnant!!??!!  Really...wow, I did not know that...
So his younger brother and I did some major pondering on that one...so, if you had the women lined up, had not pee'd in a long time...you  could get 20+ women pregnant with one good pee!!??!!
Wow, we have to be careful where and how we pee...since this back when kids were sent outside to play, which meant we ALWAYS pee'd outside...this lead to peeing on each other...saying/singing kind of like tag...your it...tag....your pregnant...

Summer of 8th going to 9th grade, had broke my ankle spent most of summer on crutches...was at a friends house after a baseball game, his older sister, (11th to 12th grade), was having a party with BEER at their house, (parents out of town), his sister who was super hot with big boobs...and drunk...grabbed me and dragged me into her parents walk-in closet and blew me...well that was something I had never experienced...I have been hooked ever since, (see moniker)...
thanks for the memories...nice post...
take care

Old school Catholic parents with 5 kids, we were all immaculately conceived...never had one word about sex from my parents...

Can't say that learned all that much that way but it was for the most part accurate.  Although somewhere along the way my friends and I acquired the mistaken belief that a girl only needed to take a birth control pill when she was actually going to have sex.

She told me my hand would fall off if I kept doing that.   LOL, she was wrong.  It didn't!

Great topic!!

...I have no idea where this concept originated but both me and my 7th grade girlfiend were practicing this form of contraception. Even in my 7th grade confirmation training at church we had a segment on sex ed. Our class instructor (who, I'm sure had no formal sex ed training) confirmed this when he asked us to complete an anonymous Q&A about sex and I specifically asked if you have sex with a girl during her period is it possible she could get pregnant? His answer was a definite, NO. So, I guss I'm fortunate that my children were conceived years later with my first wife.  #teenagesexrocks  :D

Hi, new poster here, this seemed a good topic to start off with, back to the beginning...

Likewise, my parents were always honest with me about sex.  I can remember asking my father things that made me red in the face, and him answering so casually that I forgot being embarrassed.  Learning from friends and figuring things out myself filled in the rest.. It all came together fine for me, but I'm sure lots of people at my school didn't have parents that were as involved..

I only remember a few days of sex ed in our mandatory health class in the 10th grade. We talked about STDs, HIV, and one day our teacher mentioned that you should have sex with someone you care about. No demos of condom use. No info on where to get contraception, where to go or whom to call if you were in trouble, drinking and sex, date rape, etc..The teacher could not have looked more uncomfortable presenting this material.

Some myths I remember - drinking mountain dew will reduce sperm count and shrink your balls, girls can get pregnant from toilet seats but can't get pregnant the first time, and prolonged blue balls can cause physical harm(I still don't risk that one!

meant ... 6 minutes in ... 9 months out ... and that is how babies are made.

At a neighborhood party ... Mom & Dad were so proud when their little 4th grader informed everyone that he knew the "69" formula for making babies.

Awww ... too cute.
