I opened a issue with Support awhile back on this.  At first, I thought it related to whether someone was moderated or not. I then saw inconsistency within timezone and it was after the classic to new to regressed classic migration.  Don't know if servers timestamps got out of sync, or if it were dependent if your logon had an entry built on the classic and new servers.  After I mentioned it, it appears to have been rectified.

Why don't our 'replies' in a thread show up in the order they came in? In the "who cares" thread below, my message to Irish Prick and soft snow should have come after their banter not at no. 12

I just went to try and edit a post I just made and I don't see the edit button.  Might be time to submit a problem PM to tech support.

...where they post in the "tree" depends on whose message you have open when you post your reply

depending on whether someone posts on Classic TER or New TER. That might explain a lot of the perceived disorder.

On my screen when using the flat option, the only reply button is after the very last post of any thread. I could however click on the 'quote' button and see what happens with that.

When viewing in flat mode and before I actually click on a thread, my new post shows up in order or at the bottom.(I am unmoderated) After I click on that thread to read it, my post could be anywhere.

That doesn't make sense for the site to behave like that.

It would be better if they come up with the "+" sign option. Just click on the + sign to expand and show the content of the post. The tree option is cumbersome. Just my 2 cents.

I did not know about setting ones time zone.  I hope it works. Thanks soft snow.
