Contrary to popular belief, Minnesota isn't that bad. Sure there are one or maybe two days a winter where things get slowed down, but for the most part those days where flights are cancelled and things come to a halt, are very rare. November can be a mixed bag. Early in November you are as likely to see cold rain, as your are flurries...it could also be 50 degrees and sunny...you just never know. Towards the end of the month, maybe snow, maybe not. Our biggest snow storms tend to hit in March. So to sum things up, the likely-hood of your trip being totally ruined by weather in November is very very slim.
PS: you're hot, I hope you come and warm us up a bit!
FWIW, MSP doesn't even make the top ten for airport closures and weather delays. Atlanta, Chicago, San Fransisco, JFK, and a few others have way more problems than Minneapolis. So, just book your flight, stay in downtown Minneapolis (for the out of the weather skyway system), and you will be just fine here, in November.
While it is not out of the question, it is unusual for us to have weather that bad in November, particularly in the first half of the month. People travel in and out of here all the time all year round and even in the worst winters, most days are OK for travel.
Rarely are flights canceled and from the airport you can take the light rail downtown. Once downtown you can use the sky ways to limit your outside exposure. You should have plenty of clients downtown that would not have to cancel because it is easy to get around.
Weather in November should not be an issue. One of our biggest blizzards happened on Halloween, but that is extremely rare. But even in the middle of winter things are rarely closed for the weather.
