There's a show called The Lotus Center for Renewal at Bryant Lake Bowl. Promo blurb says it's “a story of sensual intrigue told in 5 chapters interspersed with seductive melodic interludes.” The spoken word potion is the author/speaker's meditation on her (seemingly real) experience as a provider in a DIY establishment. Topics include clients, boundaries, interactions with clients and with one client's upset spouse, and ways the experience impacted her life. Smart, funny, unsettling, funny, and unexpectedly affirming. And funny.

I attended with two of my favorite people who happen to be providers and their reactions were strong and positive. It's done from the woman's perspective so mongers should be prepared to squirm a little now and then, but if you are interested in briefly opening a window on how the lady might be perceiving you, herself, and the experience she is providing you, highly recommended.

The music, written and performed by a "Minnesota Female Vocalist of the Year" award winner, is excellent.
