I have noticed.....and so have MANY others........that the Friends on TER can be a bit brutal, mean, unkind. I sometimes wish there was a FRIENDLY platform. But TER can BECOME a friendly platform. ??????

And discussion boards consist of human beings that come from different walks of life. Therefore, there will always be disagreements, nice people, mean people, neutral people, ect, ect, ect.... Although I agree that the mean people are not necessarily loved or appreciated, & I will be one of the first to call them out on their rude, inconsiderate behavior, they are still entitled to their freedom of speech. I assume that what I read here is a microcosm of real life.  Providers are real people with varying ways of going about their work, and often have full lives outside of the profession--yet so many seem to feel entitled to an experience exactly how they want it, every time.  

Put another way, there's a big difference between a fair experience where things just didn't click between you and a bad experience.  Some guys seem to get that, some don't and want to drag someone through mud of their own creation.  

Yep......everyone "holding hands" all the time would be nice  (not that we shouldn't aim to try) but it won't happen as long as there are bad days and internet access lol

Um, do even you know what a “shill” is?  It is someone who’s a plant, someone who promotes another while pretending not to have any association with the beneficiary (think three card monte and snake oil). Shilling is dishonest. That’s why it is NOT permitted on TER.

The whole point of Shill Friday is to let us ADVERTISE for our favorites while TER looks the other way (wink, wink). Um, get it???  It’s not shilling at all - it’s right out there in the open.

And if some of us take a few extra minutes to “advertise” a little stronger than others with a link or pic, what business is it of yours? It’s rhetorical. Gawd, please don’t answer. The answer is that it’s none of your [expletive delete] business!

As the old saying goes..."you get what you pay for." Hilary's rates are very fair for the type of service she provides. Which is excellent, IMHO.

You seem like such a sweetheart Hilary! I completely agree. Too often we (meaning everyone), gets caught up in the stresses of every day life, & start concerning ourselves with more of the negative. Always take a minute to stop and smell the roses, feel the sunshine, & consider "will my anger, or negative comments really do anyone any good? And is it something I might regret later?"...

Something you have to realize is that TER is a community.  And just like any community (or even any family), people disagree and sometimes do so unkindly.  

Every neighborhood has cranky old farts, or obnoxious douche bags.  You can't stop them.  Getting upset about them will just cause yourself pain.

All you can do is learn to accept that people are people, and they will cover all spectrums.

Thank you Tiffany. Great words of wisdom. I know I've said things to people that I've regretted later, before they explained things to me.

I know that I am not very active in the "posting" department but I think that i will always find you adorable in the" acceptance " department!
