I travel occasionally to MSP and have often corresponded with a regular poster on this board who goes by the handle MDL. I checked back dozens of pages and see that he hasn't been posting. Did he retire from the hobby?

....we had a fire storm rip through MN and he was the biggest of the casualties..

I don't think it is right for you to presume he is still around. Besides that, based on your response, why would you even post such sensitive information? Not very smart, after knowing he was a casualty. Hopefully we all remain sensitive to people's privacy. Please edit your post.

This post is what got him moderated, which shortly led to his being banned, all before the Mathews-Mental-Meltdown happened.

Also he was banned before I became moderator.

I miss his wisdom and experence on this board.

I opened a new window to TER and went to the post while NOT logged in and copied the address bar and pasted it - That produces less "code" than opening the post while logged in for some reason, I also posted the logged in link in the message body so you could see the difference.

The search feature returns a longer link.  But
normal board links are much shorter.  See below.

To tell you the truth, the board hasn't been that
interesting of late.  I don't live here so there
has to be some "out of town" interest for me to
participate.  But I have been reading .

BTW, valiant effort to try to spark some life
into the board.

However, one side note is that we are at an all time high for readership of what posts we do have now.

Besides, why should our board be intresting to you? You aren't from this region!
Maybe the next time there's a Star Trek convention here in the TwinCities, you can fly out and we'll help you find a local girl.......

I didn't say it has to be interesting.  It just
has to be for me to read it.  I don't come from
LA or DC but I find those boards interesting.
It's all about the people and their
personalities.

Mostly due to the actions of one crazed traveling lady - The road to recovery is a long one..... But the rebuild has been slowly and steadly moving in the right direction.
